The nail on my ring finger split right down the middle! I keep cutting and filing it, but it seems to be actually growing in split! What in the world should I do?

I've heard that you can use Super Glue to keep it from splitting more. I've actually never tried it, though.

I would go to a professional salon and see what they suggest. I used to get a nail patch out of silk mesh that would be glued onto my nail. Another idea may be a plastic stick on nail patch. I used to buy them at Sally's. Of course they only last a couple of days before coming off. Also make sure to keep your cuticle and the top of the nail hydrated with an oil or balm. I would also keep the nail very short so it doesn't catch on anything.

Sorry, super glue doesn't work on nails. I tried reapplying an acrylic nail with it and it kept falling off. Something about the oils in the nail.

You can get nail glue, but it is same as Karzy or Super Glue. I would use this also, put a small amount on the split, then a good strengthener and polish.

I would also go to a professional and get some silk mesh on it and see what else they might suggest.

GO to the salon and get a silk wrap. They will use silk and acrylic like substance to strengthen the nail so it will grow out without splitting. Start treating all of your nails with nail strengthener and protein. It will help greatly!
