Re: Need help with basic cosmetics, please.

You could also try going to Sephora. They have a sale (20% off) coming up for VIBs and sometimes they will just give it to you in the store.

You could ask one of the associates/artists to demo stuff and you and they can also help you with technique.

GOOD LUCK!

I am so so sorry you have been sick.......pain changes a person and it is hard. Origins has a nice eyebrow pencil that I love and L'Oreal has a nice volume mascara and I am sure you can find a nice almay shadow. Lipsticks always make me happy so I hope you find a wonderful color. Nothing better in the world than good health.

Also would like to add, Another great concealer that is also more moisturizing is Un coverup from rms beauty(dermstore). I do agree with op above that lipstick is a great picker-upper(zuzu luxe lipsticks from pharmacadotcom(always sends great discount codes) or honeybee gardens from their site or iherbdotcom, jane iredale or vapour organic and ilia or rouge bunny rouge lipsticks from beautyhabit, blush or b-glowing.

Maybelline age rewind is a great concealer!!!! Maybelline define a brow is very good. I don't use drugstore mascara. You need something for your lips! Please try Revlon Just bitten Balm stain it is awesome. Smile more, that always makes u pretty!

Re: Need help with basic cosmetics, please.

Great to hear you are recovering well. Chronic illness is a chronic pain in the butt!

I've always been a fan L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, especially the original. Also Maybelline has a Full and Soft mascara that gets great reviews. Both are under $10.

I like Revlon Colorstay eyebrow pencils as I get a nice bit of color on my light eyebrows and as it says - the color stays.

I don't use a concealer so can't help only to say try testers.

Nice and dirt cheap lipsticks are by both ELF and Wet 'n' Wild.

I would consider going to an Ulta as they have both high-end and drugstore brands - all with testers. They also have their own line of products that are very reasonable.

Stay healthy!!

I will concur with the recs for Maybelline Full N' Soft mascara and the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. For brow products, the Maybelline Define-A-Brow, Milani Easy Brow Automatic Pencil and NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder are all excellent brow products. I hope you have continued good health.
