Need advice regarding blush! Help!! :)

Hello! I am very fair, dark brown hair and blue eyes. My problem is that I am so fair that I look dead with no blush. Then I over-blush! Is there a product that I can use that will BRIGHTEN my face without over-doing it? I look dead or too pink. Can't seem to get the right mix. It's not really a matter of color of blush...... Im not sure what I am asking, really..... Can't get it right.... Any advice???
