Looking for recommendations for a brand of lipstick that stays on a lengthy period of time. Thanks!

That's a tricky one, jims rib! Everything I have seems to wear away rather soon.........even those marketed with "staying power".

For years I've worn Cover Girl Outlast which wears great on me. Lately I tried a color in L'Oreal Infallible and it was good too. These types are all I use now; haven't used a ""regular"" lipstick in years as they just don't stay on as well.

Thanks, soonersis! I bought some of the L'Oreal Infallible and it really does last! I'm so happy! Thanks again for the recommendation!

Sometimes the most long lasting lipsticks don't have the nicest finish, so you have to see what works for you. I wish I could wear the "Outlast" type lipsticks, they stay on forever, but for me they look dry and crinkly after a short time.
I really like the Maybelline Lip Elixirs (kind of a liquid lipstick with a doe foot applicator), they are very moist and shiny. color lasts a long time. The more natural/nude colors don't last as long, but I think that's true of any brand.

I don't care for Loreal Infallible, I guess because of the shades. The only DS lipstick I bought that had staying power was Coty, which is long gone.
The other lip things that have worn well for me: Il-Makiage and Bobbi Brown.
After you apply the first coat, blot w/ a tissue and reapply. My DM did this, plus used the residual from her tissue for her blush. Also, before that 2nd coat, you can always use a nude or same color lip liner to outline & fill in. That also helps to extend the wear.
I always use a lip brush for precise application.
If you are eating, take the food w/ your teeth, not your lips. If you watch the old movies, that's exactly how those lip lacquered ladies preserve their look.

When I need color to stay on, I line my ENTIRE lip with Mary Kay liner, then apply any lipstick or gloss. It stays for a long time.
My second favorite is to use an argan oil balm with PTR lips over top.

One thing that works for me is buying a matte lip color. Rimmel has the Kate Moss line. I apply a really neutral pale color and then blot. I then apply my regular, more moist lip color or gloss and blot again. Then dot color on again - very lightly. This seems to keep the lip color on pretty well.

MAC pro long wear is a good one, but it can be drying so you have to reapply the gloss that comes with it throughout the day.
I've been using Urban Decay Revolution lipstick, and though it's not a long wearing product, there's always some color left on my lips at the end of the day even when I haven't reapplied for a while. It's very hydrating, too.
