Great topic - hope we keep it going.
About a month ago I did a post asking about faux nails as I was considering them. I had acrylics in the '80s. My natural nails were never great but I had taken Hair Skin & Nails for years and it did strengthen my nails to the point that I had to file them down weekly to keep them the length I wanted. And they rarely broke.
This winter my nails were sudently awful - peeling, chipping, breaking. Not growing.
Then I read about a product here on the boards - Nail Aid Keratin 3 Day Nail Growth. It has really helped my nails grow and they aren't breaking as much. I've been using Kur over it - the lilac or the pale pink. Then I use the Nail Aid over it a few days later as a top coat. My nails are really looking decent and I'm very. happy with them and the products. I've been re-doing my nails twice a week. I use Sally's Beauty Supply Acetone Nail Polish Remover - I don't find it harsh - never seemed to dry out my nails.
I appreciate all the tips - I need them.

I have long, strong natural nails and get a pro mani every 2 weeks using regular old fashioned nail polish, gels and dips will ruin my nails,. so no way.

@justashopper I have the same problem with my nails. Recently a regular member here recommended Manicurist Paris. I purchased the Healthy Glow Duo set by Manicurist Paris. My cuticles and nails are in great condition after using this duo for a month. I do use the serum conditioner twice daily. Two coats of the natural glow polish lasts 14 days. I wear rubber gloves at the kitchen sink and for bathroom cleaning. In the kitchen I was using a sponge with bare hands which contributed to dry cuticles. Also use the natural glow polish on toenails. I have regular mani pedi every month and change out nail polish once between salon visits. Also trim my nails once between salon visit as I like my nail short.

In the past I have had various types of warps on my nails. Then I went to powder & glue for many years.
Today I have natural nails but I still go every other week to have them done. She files, shapes, adds an under coat, polish then a fast drying top coat. I keep them pretty short.
I don't have the patience to do them myself and they look great when my nail tech does them!

Nail Aid 8 in 1 pink shade...and londontown topcoat...and or their polishes work best on me.
I have nail aid keratin, and Manicurist...they chip and peel, and break with those.
I have the the worst nails on the planet....thats why i gave into getting acrylics.
After a year of that...I got tired of HAVING to go, and the expense.
So back to natural....only thing, nothing lasts more 5 - 7 days, and I have lousy cuticles too, despite all the creams, oils and so on....been all my life.
My feet too!!! Im SOOOO much work 😭

What are you using for cuticle management? I regularly use Sally Hansen cuticle remover. Apply, then use a pusher tool to push them back, then rinse and massage dry with a towel. For feet, I do best when I get regular pedis. Also I use Amlactin foot cream. Its amazing for exfoliating and breaking down hard calluses. My foot file is a useful tool once the calluses have been tamed with the cream (using the Amlactin several times a week.
I like the look of Manicurist Active Glow but on me it chips or peels within a couple days. Honestly, I think getting 5-7 days from a home mani /regular polish, is pretty good. For me the quality of the top coat makes a difference.

I've always just had natural nails. Used to polish by myself occasionally but quit when a dermatologist told me nail products are a big offender for people with allergies which I have.
There are healthier products out there now but I just don't care about nails being done.
