I didn't want to hijack the TSV thread.
Am I missing something on this brand? I have picked up several things based on the chatter here. I tried the body wash and wasn't impressed. I have several different ones and tried the champagne one and the scent wasn't anything to write home about. I finally opened the tropical body butter and it didn't seem very hydrating. I ended up mixing in some of the recent Korres Olive oil that was in the weekly drop. I am so used to Josie's body butter and that may be what is throwing me off.
I see so many positive reviews and I honestly just don't get it.

I haven't tried it. I like the korres body butter. The rep from the nakery used to be the rep with korres until she started this line of products.

I don't get it either. I feel like it's basically Bath and Body Works in a different package.

Maybe because it's inexpensive? I've tried a few of their products and did not care for it.

For ME, this is what I've noticed:
I have very dry skin and KP on my arms (genetic). Our water is FULL of minerals and incredibly drying.
*Korres leaves a nice film on my skin when I wash but Nakery REALLY hydrates my skin when I wash with their shower gel. I can feel the difference instantly.
*Korres body cream isn't hydrating enough on my KP. Nakery's body butter is better but not by much. Nakery's pressed OIL is amazing.
The best body butter/cream that actually hydrates my skin and makes a noticeable difference is either Josie Marans whipped body butter or Perliers Shea Butter body balm.

I'll be honest that I really wanted to love everything in this line since I like the idea of the clean beauty with great ingredients but some of the items have been duds. The shower gel's texture which is like jello just doesn't work well for me even if I squish it into a loofah to create lather that way. My skin didn't like her solid oil balm at all, it just sat on top and didn't sink in regardless how tiny of an amount that I used. Some of the scents I just didn't love. They were only ok there are other lines where I just LOVE their scents but haven't found true love in a Nakery scent yet. There are a couple scents that I do like and they fade so I can wear them with other perfumes etc which is nice. The body cream does work well for me. But in comparison, I returned the Josie creams that I tried a whlle ago because they were too heavy greasy feel to me. This is a line that I will continue to watch to see what is released, if there is a great citrus scent offered someday I will definitely try it.

I won't be trying it--alot of those items have caffeine in them---I am allergic to that --can't drink it or use it on my body. And anyway---I have TONS of Korres and the others so don't need anymore.

I don't know I never tried the brand. but maybe what you see as 'hype' are people just really happy to know something about something. TSV/TS are like a big secret now so I am just grateful for any future beauty info provided.
