Maybe try a hair-skin-nails supplement or just biotin.

@SilleeMee. I took a large dose of biotin for one year and saw no change.  Lessman Nails and Hair vitamins gave me terrible indigestion so couldn't take them.

@Estellee.  I find using any polish product is drying and makes my nails worse.  I stay completely away from them.

Re: Nail products lets get real

I have used some of the Nail Veil soft colors from Londontown and they have worked pretty well for me, and I have never been able to wear polish.  I have terrible nails.

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides does seem to help IF I take it every day in a smoothie or a drink. The advanced one is harder to get to dissolve--the regular does that better.

Nailtiques 2

The only thing that's ever worked for me. I read about it in a magazine a million years ago and had to pick it up in NYC because it wasn't widely available then and internet was just a baby. I think initially I followed the directions which might be to put it on every few days but then I slid off to just using it as a base coat or doing once a week.  Not sure if it's from years of nailbiting but if I don't use this my nails are almost clear they are so weak.

@Kachina624 I guess it worked the opposite for me. Within about 3 months my nails were in good shape, I'll never go back to acrylics again.

Re: Nail products lets get real

I used to have terrible ridges and white marks on my nails. Then I read about nail health  and so now I take a little bit of zinc. My nails don't have ridges or white marks on them since I started taking it. Zinc is good for nails but don't take too much and take it on an empty stomach to avoid it interfering with other minerals in your diet.

Try also to use a oil like CND Solar Oil, use this on nails in addition to Nail Aid for damaged nails.

Nothing has ever worked for me. I gave up on that years ago.

Re: Nail products lets get real

I bought bottle and bottles of TIPS nail condiitoner and had them all over the house, in my purse, in the car, at my desk, I used it frequently all day, it did miracles, after I had my acrylics removed, my nails were so damaged. TIPS nail conditioner saved my natural nails, they were healthy and strong in no time.

I just looked, QVC still sells TIPS nail conditioner. Remember the lady who would scratch the wooden board like a cat 😂.
