bella, yes, please, I'd love to see a comparison of Pippa and Pimms. For my candy corn, I do a coat of white first, and I think I still have to do three yellow. I'm trying to find the most pigmented yellow that I can.

Wild Card is a pretty blue, isn't it! I don't think I have one in that color range so I'll go with it.

FM, I haven't heard from a cook. I do remember she was having a baby and moving to Florida. I've been hoping she would check in one of these days! I also remember her yellow mani. She and her husband stopped at a bakery(?), and he got her a cupcake with yellow frosting (or piping? yeah it may have been piping) the same color yellow as her mani.

nom, yay for no more peeling. I'm keeping my Nailtiques and Delore oil on and they are under control. For now anyway.

Beautiful colors, ladies!

Fairie - I'm with you...change polish way too often for gels to call out my name. Also, I can't help wondering if the chemicals required for these polishes to be long lasting will some day turn out to be equally or more hazardous to health than the ones that have now all but been eliminated from regular polishes. I have and love Mermaid's Dream, but still haven't quite gotten around to using it for a mani.

bella - Wendy, another pretty color I've yet to wear... Lindsay has definitely reviewed the Electric Nights collection, as have many others. I always look forward to hers videos. The Shinespark polishes are truly jellies. For my first use I decided to use Ballerina Bunny (the pink one) by itself over basecoat. They are easy to apply and VERY sheer, more along the lines of the OPI tints (from what I've seen of them online) as far as opacity on the nail goes. After three coats, I still had visible nail line. I topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust and called it a night. Today I did a white mani with China Glaze White on White. After three coats plus Seche Vite, I had a decent white mani. I then added China Glaze Point Me To The Party on top. Then I decided to top that with a layer of Peekaboo (the green jelly) and more Seche Vite...sort of a Spring Halloween mani. Of course I managed to shift some of it into a lump on one nail before it could completely dry. My nails are now coated with oil while I decide what to put on next.

I really need to catch up here! Lots of colors.

Hi Faerie Moon! love that Mermaid's Dream! I bought it last month or so and haven't worn it yet. I've been saving it until it gets warm here Smiley Happy

Bella, Primms is pretty on your nails! it reminds me that I don't have any yellow polishes. I need to pick up one to try.

Today I'm wearing Zoya America, a pretty red. My hubby gave me an Ulta gift card this morning for my birthday, so I'm already putting a little list together of colors to look for Smile

Happy Monday!

Knit - Oh yes...you must get a yellow polish!! To me, it's such a happy color! Love Zoya's America...red always works! Wink

jup - I could be wrong, but I think this is the first time I've worn Wendy and can I tell you...I LOVE it so much!! I have more than a few polishes in the coral family and this is my fave! I have NO chips, so I'm still wearing it. {#emotions_dlg.w00t} Woah...your China Glaze combo sounds fab!!

FM - Mermaid's Dream looks fab on you! I love it, but I don't love it on me, so I always pair it with DL's On the Beach. Your nails are amazing! Smile I got an email from acook about a year ago and she's doing well! She had a boy! Thanks for the well wishes for my cousin; I haven't mentioned it in a couple days because I don't want to put a damper on our thread, but all meds have been stopped, machines have been cut off and basically, the family is waiting for her to pass away. Again, thank you and thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

nom - Oh, I'm so glad you are able to find the Nutra Nail stuff in your area! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

fifi - I love seeing everyone's manis, too! Enjoy that nice weather of yours! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Snow - I did a comparison for you, so I hope you can get a better idea about Pippa vs Pimms! {#emotions_dlg.laugh} I know my photo skillz aren't the greatest and we don't have sun today...where IS Spring?! Anyway, we've got Pippa on the left and Pimms on the right. I don't know if you can tell, but Pippa is more of a lemony color and Pimms is more of a sunflower color. Here are a couple shots:

bella, your photo skillz are perfect, thank you so much! Pimms is the yellow I've been looking for. I wanted one that is darker than Pippa, and that is it. I may be able to get by with two coats. Casino Lights a very light yellow, and just the thing for a Spring mani. Pimms, I will put back and keep for candy corn. Casino Lights, Pippa, and Hit the Lights will be for my full yellow mani. I haven't done yellow in a very long time.

I am so happy for a cook! I had her in my thoughts long after I stopped posting for her to make it through and have her baby. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I'm so sorry about your cousin, bella. My condolences to you and your family. My cousin and I were close growing up. I had no sisters so she was kind of like having one.

Knit - A very Happy Birthday to you!! I know you won't have any trouble spending your Ulta gift card and you'll have to let us know what you get! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Snow - You are more than welcome! I was so glad I had a Zoya swatchy thing to use to do the comparison! {#emotions_dlg.w00t} I had to dig through my emails to find the one from acook and was shocked to see that it was from a year ago! My gosh, where does the time go?! (I don't normally keep emails, but she had attached a couple pics of her little guy, so I saved it.) Thank you for your kind words about my cousin; she is actually my mom's first cousin and was extremely close to my mom. I see her once or twice a month and even though she's up there in age, she only just retired a couple years ago. She was still driving and doing well til they found out she had a valve problem. Anyway...thanks.

Bella, I know right? Time has flown. It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago that she was expecting. Now her little man is over a year old. I still hope that maybe she'll pop in one day. I wonder if she has time for manicures now, lol.

Nom, I will be applying Checkmate today. I have decided to get a bottle of the Revlon top coat that goes with these. Today I will have to use Seche Vite, but for my next mani, Casino Lights, I will use it.
