Nail Top Coat 💅🏻

I've been disappointed with my nail top coat . I've tried many brands, some better than others , but I wondered if any of you had a favorite. My latest failure is Seche Vite, it is useless. I'd appreciate any suggestions. TIA 💅🏻

Re: Nail Top Coat 💅🏻

That's funny I was going to recommend Seche Vite. I used to use OPI top coat which I liked, until I discovered Seche Vite. It dries my polish upon contact so I don't have to sit there waiting for my nails to dry and my nails don't chip for weeks. You say it is "useless" but don't say why you think so. Here's what I do, base coat is Orly Bonder, OPI Polish, and Seche Vite as my top coat. My manicure lasts for two to three weeks without chipping. The color does dull after a couple of weeks, but still looks fine without chipping.

Another vote for Seche Vite!

My manicure lasts 10+ days no chips and is shiny.

Most who do not like it do not it are waiting between coats.  Seche Vite goes on top of wet polish to cure it.

I do base coat 2-3 coats of color SV top coat.  No waiting, no drying between coats.

Poshe, it will not disappoint, I have used them all. Dries in 60 seconds to a glass like shine, feels very cushiony on the nails!! Puts Seche Vite to shame!!  Get it on ebay or amazon.

@Biftu , Since I started using Seche Vite my manicure doesn't last at all. I switched from OPI, because SV sounded so good. I'm glad it works for you , but in all of my years of doing my nails I've never had worse results. The struggle is real, LOL.

@Abrowneyegirl , Thanks for your reply. I do apply it the way you describe , but in a couple of days my polish chips. 🤷‍♀️

@QVCkitty1   I'm not a great one to ask since I do my manis myself and only use a clear polish. Sally Hansen, IMO, makes products equal and sometimes superior to higher priced brands.

I use either the original clear Hard as Nails (clear) or their clear polish is a hardner, polish and top coat in one...think it's the best.

My hands are always in water between painting and doing makeup. I usually do my nails on the weekend and add another coat of clear mid-week. No nails are chipped and the polish is the same as when I applied it.

I never saw the need for a "top coat". Any clear polish seems to do the trick. I do a spray that dries my nails more quickly, but any way you look at it, you still have to sit quietly waiting for polish to dry.

Have you tried this one? Dries fast and has a lasting shine.

Trust me, try  Poshe, then you will see a difference from a clear polish!!
