I just went through my over 100 bottles of nail polish and absolutely nothing inspired me. I wondered what are the most popular nail colors for this time of year. I am already getting tired of the really dark fall/winter colors and it's too early for Spring colors. What colors are you wearing??

I find when I fall into a nail color rut, I go back to my favorites or classic colors.

Oh I forgot another trick I do it take a dark color and then put a thin layer of a lighter color over top, mix it up. I have found some fabulous colors that way.

Do you ever use a shimmer over a matte color? I just turned on the other channel and the host is wearing a pink frosted nail color. I know they are in Florida but I'm not sure how I feel about that. I used to love frosty colors and wore them a lot but not lately. Maybe I will just do one coat of a nude for now. I have to keep polish on my nails or they break.

I love wearing red...any shade is great...or light pink always works for me as well! I do sometimes put a coat of glitter over the light pink or even clear polish...looks fun and interesting lol!!

I am wearing Essie For the Twill of it.

duochrome polish

It can be described as a duo-chrome, I guess. You see shades of purple and a little green (gun metal, too) as you move your fingers.

I felt it was a good color since, like you, I've been wearing winter colors (berry and brown family) and am not ready for my favorite spring colors (lilac/lavendar family).

I don't want new. I want my old fave I discovered in 2011. I have one color and now it's gone. Chi Ceramic Nail Lacquer in Always a Bridesmaid.

I had a manicure this morning with this. It's sandwiched between DLippmann Gel Lab base and top coats.
