@ElvisShops wrote:I'm convinced I should start using my PRO+. Thank you. For those who use it already, does your skin get red, and, if so, how long does it stay that way? I'm definitely on the fair side so everything shows on my skin.
The PRO+ can make your skin red and it can even burn it if you're not careful with treating the same spot too much or have the setting up too high. Mine is set to the highest level but I have tough skin plus I've been using other lasers for quite some time so my skin is accustomed to laser treatment.
The redness, if any, is brief. Usually within an hour it's gone. If the redness lingers all day then you need to lower the setting and treat just once daily until your skin gets used to it. I do two back-to-back treatments, several minutes apart each day. You can also do one in the AM and another in the PM if that is better for you.
Thank you!

@SilleeMee I just wondered if you had ever tried using the NIRA ON your lips? I didn't see anything on their website about using the NIRA laser to build collegen in the lips (not around the lips). I thought about trying it out on a low setting to see what happens but just wanted to check and see if you know anyone who has actually used the laser on the lips. I think several of us tried using the Red Light therapy on our lips with minimal results.

I have not used my NIRA on my lips but I'm might give it a try. Have you tried that?

@Jk9 I just ordered the Pro+. I have not used a laser appliance before. Please advise me how to prep skin before and what to use after treatment. Delivery is expected in 2-3 weeks. I want to me sure I have the recommended serums, etc on hand when I do start treatment.

@SilleeMee I used my Precision on the first light on my lower lip last evening. No adverse effects so far. Going to see what happens....... Also think I'll send the question to NIRA and see what they say. My Pro+ is finally out for delivery today.

@Hilery NIRA advises to use on clean skin so I either use a make up remover wipe or wash my face before I do a treatment. My Pro+ arrives today! I've been using the Precision and the Pro so far. @SilleeMee already has her unit so she may add her thoughts too. I treat in the evening so I do my regular serums, etc. NIRA sent me a couple of their product samples when my Pro+ shipment was delayed. I'll check those out and report back.

All the instructions are in the book that comes with your laser. You can continue to use your own skincare products. No special serums are needed.
NIRASkin dot com has a FAQ page. Find the link at the bottom of their homepage.

Did you ever use a PALOVIA laser? The Q used to sell it a long time ago. I still use mine and I think it's one of the best in-home lasers ever. Too bad they went out of business. It works so well that I think it was taking business away from professional laser places.

@SilleeMee I missed that one. I don't remember seeing that one. I have the Tria Beauty Laser (not hair removal). In fact I'm on my second one of those. I got that one shortly after I had in office laser treatments and wanted to have a way to keep up the results. The Palovia looks like a small version of the one used on me in the office.
