Makes you wonder how many of the 10,000 buyers of the TSV have bad units and don't even know it. At $400+ a pop. This way of doing business really bothers me, on QVC's part and on Tria's part.

I agree. That is a lot of money to spend on something that may or may not be working right.

Re: My New Tria …… OUCH!

I guess I will throw in another week of treatment because mine was not as hot as this new one. I am disgusted that I have to do this. Since I got this new one, I can not believe how hot it is, nothing like my original. I would never have known that something was wrong with it if I didn't have these posts to read. I thought I was almost finished with my 8 weeks since I am on week 7 now. Oh well, another week won't hurt me. Actually maybe I should do 2 more weeks since I have said my skin wasn't getting red for awhile. What do you all think I should do???

Glad this one is working better but gosh how long does the swelling last itsme?

I have decided to keep mine gals because when i did not use it for 5 or 6 days i see my skin looking better just more smooth and better color..Even my DIL said it looks better and DH said to keep it dont send it back...Glad i got busy and forgot to put it in the mail!lol.Anyway started it again on sun night and will send a copy of recipe to Tria and get the extended warranty for 65.00 and at least have peace of mind for another yr.My total cost will be about 492.00 for this so thats not to bad...Thats after i get my Mr Rebate back and the Sephora 15% off.

And to think they sold them to all of these people KNOWING they had problems, and these people most likely have NO IDEA and are going along using it, and many will keep it and pay all of that money for a defective device. Talk about taking advantage and not even TRYING to do the right thing. The more I think about it the angrier it makes me.

itsMe: I'm seeing SOMETHING, but not sure exactly what. My skin is looks seriously dehydrated (no flaking, but my wrinkles are still more pronounced) but somehow I feel like it looks better. EXCEPT for the wrinkles! It's a puzzler. It s*cks that you and snowball have devoted so much time and commitment to this when it essentially wasn't working! {#emotions_dlg.mad} Which brings me to:

Krissie (and everyone): Just this morning I was mentally composing an email to Tria regarding the number of people who have had problems, the fact that we believe that units were knowingly sent out with the "old" plugs, that there have been problems o'plenty across the board.

I was trying to estimate how many post on the Tria threads regularly -- any guess/estimate? And how many of those have been experiencing problems.

I think we should FLOOD Tria with emails and if I had the wherewithal, I'd post a YouTube vid "exposing" their poor customer service practices and warning that many units seem to be experiencing problems. But I'll never do that -- nice fantasy, though. {#emotions_dlg.devil2}

Maren, my skin is behaving like yours, but I still feel it's doing something positive. That said, I'm with you on contacting Tria. To know of these issues and not speak up seems wrong. It's not like 10,000 people bought a bad lipstick for $20. This is an expensive item for most people. The company should have some pride and be ethical enough to sell a quality, not defective item.

Re: My New Tria …… OUCH!

Maren, thanks for sharing your results. I hope you see a lot of improvement once you're on the down period!

Snowball, you might want to add even more time….. It's probably been a while since you were getting the full benefit of the laser. It's a tough call. though. Do what feels right to you. You might want to call Tria, and see what they suggest?

MidNight…. The swelling subsided during the day, but I'm still red in areas. I'll dial it down to level 2 tonight, and see how I make out. It's encouraging to hear that you are seeing enough improvement to keep the unit! That's great. I hope I'll feel the same way in three months!

Wackers, thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate your input and encouragement.

Krissie and all, I agree… they know there have been problems, and sent units out anyway. I expect they'll get a lot of returns, but there are also a lot of people who will keep units that are underperforming, and that is really wrong. It makes me want to return it…BUT I'm so hoping that it works, and that I never want to part with it!
