Thanks @SilleeMee!

I was hoping for a comparison of how the treatment feels (Tria, Nira, Palovia) because of my Tria experience.  I assumed you are happy with the Tria and Palovia results because you have been using for years.

Did you have any pain or skin burning with Tria at first?  With Nira?  With Palovia?

TIA!

Most all laser-type skin devices do make you feel some heat....like a snapping rubber band sting. That's how lasers work, with heat. Each device has an adjustment so you can set it to where you feel most comfortable. I have a high pain threshold so I have all of them set to the highest settings.

Thanks, @SilleeMee.  What I experienced with Tria was more than stinging.  It was real pain and redness like this

That's why I was wondering if there you felt any difference between the 3 lasers.  I guess the answer is no.

@NYCLatinaMe

This is the Tria laser I use, the "Age-Defying Laser"

I ended up returning the NIRA, it was just to hot for my skin.  I could not get off the first level and I was using it 2x a day.

I can't use the NIRA more than once a day. My skin is too sensitive. I can only do my under eyes every other day. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you but no use torturing yourself if your isn't learning to tolerate it.

@NYCLatinaMe Yikes! Is that supposed to happen? That looks extremely painful.

Re: More NIRA stuff to discuss.

I burned myself twice with my NIRA. But it was my fault b/c I zapped a spot once too many times and it ended up burning my skin in a small dot. Did it twice so now I'm careful not to hit the button more than once on the same spot during a treatment session.

Which Tria device did that to you? To me it looks like you had it set on a setting too high for your skin.

Re: More NIRA stuff to discuss.

@NYCLatinaMe I use the Tria Age Defying Laser too and I always start at the lowest level if I haven't used it for a while.  It takes a couple of weeks for my skin to adjust to the laser again and then I increase the levels as my skin tolerates.  I only get mild redness that goes away in a couple or several hours.

I also use the NIRA now and use it from my upper eye folds up to the brows.  That gives me a good lift on my eyes without using the NIRA on my eye lids.  I noticed improvement very quickly in that area.   I use it there twice a day on level 2.

What Tria are you using?

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

Re: More NIRA stuff to discuss.

Thanks for posting a photo of your Tria @SilleeMee.  Mine didn't look like that.  Made me look for and find my receipt in my computer, I bought mine in 2013 and it looked like the below picture.  It was a hair removal laser!  I had forgotten that.  I used it just like the girl in the picture, with results like in the picture I posted earlier.  Ouch!!!  So that may account for the difference in my experience and skin lasers may be OK.  I have been using a hair laser helmet, and no pain or problem but the results are meh.  (But Nutrafol has been terrific, I should do a post about that.)  I have never had any issues with retinols and glycolic and other acids.  Use one right after the other without problems, so I don't think my skin is that sensitive.  I have been on the fence on the skin lasers because i have very little in the way of static wrinkles, and what I want to address is sagging.  And usually claims about sagging are weak.  I think maybe sagging requires plastic surgery, which is not something I would entertain lightly.  Maybe after some more weightloss.  I do think the Vital Proteins have helped the sagging, and my liberal use of glycolic acid and retinol (which I think keeps wrinkles at bay, together with other products like StriVectin and argan oil, the latter of which I LOVE, liberally use, but rarely mention).

@GenXmuse I just posted about my Tria again.  Thanks to @SilleeMee posting a picture of her Tria made me realize the Tria I had was for hair removal.  So that may account for the issues.  I did not use that Tria much, still plucking and shaving those pesky hairs to this day...
