Hi has anyone else had the experience with Minoxidil that I did? I have dark blonde hair. When I went through menopause I was afraid my hair would thin. So I started using 5% Minoxidil. I did research about using the 5% which is usually reserved for men. I read that it is not harmful to women. Anyway, at my hairline it started to turn a strange orange color. I don’t know why I didn’t realize sooner it was from the Minoxidil. Once I read that it can change a person hair color I stopped using it. However, it’s been about 9 years since I used it and my hair in that area grows out that orange color. My hairdresser is perplexed. So am I. Has anyone ever heard of that happening to anyone else? It’s rather scary. Just kidding when I say is it in my brain???? I will ask the dermatologist next time I’m there which I should have already done. Thanks for your help.☺️

@Kymheart1.  Why don't you contact CS  at the company and ask about it, in addition to discussing with your doctor?

This might be something to report to the food and drug commission,  if there still is one.

Only at your hairline?  That sounds like something else was causing it unless you were only applying it at the hairline.

You might try Google.

Wish I could help - though I've used it for many years I'm a brunette so if it does change hair color you couldn't tell on me.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

Did you have thinning hair and it has helped regrow it I am thinking about using it but am told it's a lifetime commitmenet so that may be a dealbreaker for me.
