Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

BE's original formula has more luminosity to it, they also have one with a  more matte finish.

Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

I have used BE since it began and I still love it.  I recently got the compact and it is great.  I have tried Laura Geller but it is orange on me.  I use Medium Beige and Golden Beige (compact).  Last year I got the mineral veil sunscreen. It does leave a bit of a white cast but I think most of them do.  At least this one does not clog my poresl  I am not a big user of suncscreen unless I am really spending time in sun such as gardening, grandkids games, or poolside then I will use the "heavy duty" stuff.

Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

I will use a mineral foundation in the summer a lot of times, I mostly use BE or Pur-love the Pur Pressed.

I don't generally use them as much in the winter months....

Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

I find I use them more as a finishing powder or if I want a quick application or touch up.

I've been a Bare Minerals lady since the beginning.  At 72 I'm still getting compliments.

Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

In the past if I wore Bare Minerals in warmer weather, my skin always got itchy.  Is that the talc in it?  Jane Iredale gives me nice coverage but it does not look too heavy or powdery.

When I wear it I like PUR Minerals 4-in-1 pressed mineral foundation. I like it b/c it has skincare ingredients which moisturize. It also plays well with my sunscreen.

I also have the PUR pressed foundation in my rotation recommended by @SilleeMee .

I recently purchased the No Makeup Makeup compact foundation, but I don't think it's mineral based.

I also have Laura G's Balance & Brighten.

I have Bare Minerals Summer Bisque foundation/concealer that I haven't used in awhile.

The itching might be caused by bismuth that's in the  original BM, the matte doesn't have bismuth...that's the difference between them & how they were presented when Leslie owned the company.  Bismuth makes me itch & breakout, I learned my lesson the hard way to always read ingredients. @naturalfan

I get e-mails from this company.  I have been wanting to try some of the products but wasn't sure about them.  What products do you use and like? How do you find the colors?  I have used Laura Geller B&B for a long time and while I like the convenience of it, I am not entirely satisfied with it.  I continue to use it because I do not know of what other mineral foundation to use.  Thank you for your reply - I appreciate it!
