That's great that you can use it for your foundation during the summer months.  I've never used it alone before.

@Ronettes @San Antonio Gal take a look at the BareMinerals original pressed powder foundation (A689881). I keep it in my handbag for touchups. It's can be your foundation or as a touchup as I use it. It also has SPF15.

Thanks for the recommendation  @Calibeach .  It's on my Wish List.

Thanks, I'm going to take a look at that!

ah well  I looked up this Maybelline powder. I see that its a matte finish and controls oil. Yikes. I have no oil! And a matte finish makes my dry skin look like a mask. A definite no for me. Sounds like it is a great product for some of you though.

I know it sounds strange, right?  I'm going to use moisturizer underneath in the cooler months definitely.

I watched a youtube video, where they tested 'dewy' foundations versus 'matte' foundations on mature skin.

I was sure that the dewy version would look better, surprisingly the matte finish smoothed out the skin and blurred lines, bags, etc.

I'm sure it doesn't work on all skin types, we're all different.  But I noticed on myself that the matte finish looks so much smoother, I cannot use liquid foundations anymore.

And I used Max Factor Pan Stik from the time I was a teenager, a cream foundation in stick form.  I loved it, then Max Factor moved to Ireland (or somewhere overseas) and changed the Pan Stik formula and colors completely, and lost many customers.

I wouldn't be able to use it now anyway, because that cream foundation shows every little fine line.

I like Clinique Almost Powder with Spf 18 for touchups.

I actually just used this as my foundation over moisturizer and Spf on vacation, as was easy to apply and lasted pretty well for the day on the go!
It wasn't too dry for my dry skin.

Thanks, I want to check that one out as well!

I love Clinique!

@Ronettes

I appreciate your reply and answers!  I have kind of dry skin so this might not work for me.  You mentioned your skin seems kind of oily.  Mine used to be like this up until my late 50's and then it started to dry out -- unfortunately!

@Ronettes ... I received my Maybelline Fit Me Powder.  But upon carefully looking at the on-line description I discovered it  is a setting powder not a powder foundation.   I don't need/want a setting powder.  I haven't used it so will return it.   Glad it works for you as a foundation.   I use the Doll 10 Doll Skin Pink Power Pressed Brightening Powder as a setting powder.

You may have gotten the 'loose powder' which is the setting powder.

There are 2 versions of this, the 'loose powder' is the one described as a 'finishing powder'.

I have the compact powder, which is used as a foundation.

I also do my best to avoid using talc.

Re: Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation

To me it seems that Maybelline pressed powder product has multiple purposes. Can be used as a light-to-medium coverage foundation, as a setting powder or used to take down shine by itself or on top of foundation. Seems like a very versatile pressed powder.

@Ronettes .. I  checked and returned  the compact powder..... not the loose powder.
