Matte eyshadows

Ive had to stop using shimmery and satin eyeshadows on the upper lid above the crease due to crepey aging lids. Matte eyeshadows certainly stop the scaly alligator look, but I hate how chalky they are and how patchy they apply.

Ive tried clinique and urban decay. These brands have great products but Im not happy with the mattes. Does anyone have any recommendations for "creamy" matte shadows, if such a thing exists.
