I've looked for matte eyeshadow shades at the drugstore, with little success.  I have a Wet n Wild single in "Creme Brulee," and I've seen a few quads made by Physician's Formula that are all matte, but there doesn't seem to be much other than that.

Some of them look like they could be matte, but I can't tell for sure by looking at them.

I'm looking for light to medium purples, and cool browns and taupes...or even a purple with a bit of brown to it...

Do you know of any shadows I might like?

Check out Revlon, they have a Chocolate Quad that is good. Sonja Kashuk has a great matte palette too.

Constantly on the hunt for matte purple/lavender eye shadows.  Don't know why everything has to be glittery.   Revlon has several  little individual shadow cases--one is a matte purple shade.   I always keep a small slim magnifying glass with me which helps detect any glitter in what appears to be a matte shadow.  Very few shadows at the drugstore in purple that are TRULY matte.  Wet'n Wild has a pallete called "I love Matte that has a purple included as well as  a greenwhite,brown,black,flesh & gold color.

I think that NYX has some great matte eyeshadows. Revlon, ELF, Loreal, Sonia Kashuk. etc.. Just google matte drug store eyeshadows. You may have better luck by ordering from a website. I know NYX doesn't sell everything in stores that they sell online.

I have a Target gift card.  I think I will go and see which of these I can find.

Of course, I wouldn't feel bad if anyone else wanted to add any other suggestions.
