I have wanted to try a mason pearson brush but thought they were too expensive.  I have a new boar bristle brush from a brand called denman that I think is very nice.

My original ex large popular nylon & boar combo was great for my super thick hair. Recently purchased 100% boar brush omg love the brush even more. My suggestion to anyone considering buying one invest 100% boar bristle worth it. Four colors to choose from, ruby, ivory, blue, pink. Still are handmade. That's awesome. I love mine. 🥰

I haven't brushed my hair in years except when wet and then I use either a Wet Brush or a Tangle Teaser.

Mason Pearson boar hairbrushes are wonderful.  A bit expensive, but not when thinking they last almost a lifetime when taking good care of it.

My original 2 brushes (regular and travel size)in the boar and nylon bristles. They're going on their 35th year. Nothing holds up or feels better like a good brush and mine came with a small square brush for cleaning any hairs out of it.

I wash them every other month with my shampoo and dry them upside down on a towel.

When I wear my hair curly/wavy, I only brush it before wash day, but with a straight bob I can brush it every night before bedtime.....feels so luxurious and good for your hair.
