Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

I have long eye lashes and everyone asks if they are real. A professional makeup artist for theater and tv was shocked and said she has never seen lashes like these! My secret? Urban Decay! The primer is called ""subversion"" and mascara is called ""perversion"". I buy mine a Ulta and they let you try it for 30 days and can return if you do not like it without charge or penalty of any kind. It gives you KILLER lashes!

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

I like a paraben free mascara so I use and like Skinn. I liked Suzanne Somers mascara but it ended up under my eyes in a few hours.

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

FYI.............Nordstrom is having their yearly "Mascara Madness" day, I believe this Saturday. You buy 2 mascaras and get one free - at same price as the 2 U purchased. Call or go to live chat and confirm date. Great way to try mascaras.

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

Hi--I tried Mally but it's no better than drugstore brands. IMO. I use Lancome Hypnose Drama for years. Lancome really does make the best mascaras. Be prepared to pay a lot however. Approximately 27 28 dollars, but it's worth it. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

My all time favorite used to be Prescriptives False Eyelashes and while you can still buy it directly from their website I've tried a few others I like pretty well too:

1. Lancome Grandiose - I thought the wand was gimmicky but I've always kind of liked lancome mascaras and when I tried it, I'll be darned that wand works GREAT!!!! The mascara is really nice too!!

2. Burberry - tried this on rec. I read here and in a magazine and I really, really like this one. I WILL buy more of it during the Nordies mascara madness.

3. Bobbi Brown Smoky Eye mascara - this is the one I've liked most since the prescriptives one. Gives me the exact same look.

4. Cinique High Impact or Lash Doubling - can't really tell the difference between the 2 myself, but I like them and they are definitely less expensive than the others I listed - would be a good buy at the Nordies mascara sale too, although that sale is a good excuse to try a few different brands and see what you like!

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

There are three mascaras that I absolutely love:

Too Faced's Better Than S*x Mascara (high volume, thickens, lengthens, and curves). This one is my favorite by far.

Givenchy's Noir Couture Mascara (four-in-one mascara that creates intense volume, strong curl, infinite length, and complete lash care. This multitasking mascara is formulated with Givenchy’s exclusive lash booster expert complex that provides nutrition, revitalization, fortification, and protection--from the Sephora web site). I need to start using this one again because it does make my lashes look better, I think.

Josie Maran's Argan Black Oil Mascara (nourishes, lengthens, volumizes, lifts, and curls lashes for 24 hours). I don't know how long it lasts, but it really makes my eyes pop.

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

IMHO you should try Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes. It is all natural and QVC sells a 2 pack that is a really good deal. Every time I try a different mascara 9from ds to high end) my lashes start breaking off and falling out. LCL both lengthens and volumizes. Some people have complained that it dries up quick but Maureen said you can add a little water or her maracuja oil to it. And a mascara should be tossed after about 2 months anyway.

QVC lost a lot of my posts too!

Also you might want to try Careprost lash serum - it's the generic of Latisse. Sold at Tara Skin care tarasc dot com for about $38.80 - and I think shipping is free.

Re: Mascara suggestions PLEASE

I really like Mally (white tube). I use a few coats and it really lengthens my lashes. It does get clumpy but I remove the excess with a tissue, and it works fine. I try others and come back to Mally.
