@SeaMaiden ---I don't wear any make up unless i am going somewhere, which is not often---for me, the major thing I do are my brows----lost ALL my hair during chemo so brows were a huge thing for me to do during that time--otherwise I looked like a ghost---use eyeliner too, mascara is not a thing for me as my lashes never recovered from chemo--came back sparse, short and just awful. I do use concealor mostly around my eyes/lids/corners. but I wear a mask most the time so no one can see my whole face. My skin is really good too. Skincare and spf for my face.

@wagirl Good Morning to you! Yes, Masks really make makeup not too necessary. I put a bit of lip on just for myself.... no on else sees it! I use to wear eyeliner years ago, I just have a hard time putting it on now and it looking good. Yes, SPF year round is what I do too. I wish I had started using if prior to being 30ish. I have a couple of brown spots that I know were from my younger years of sun bathing.

I've been on auto delivery from the Lancôme website for their Definicils mascara. Best ever. It comes every three months so I'm never using germy outdated product

Unless I have somewhere I have to be, my weekend makeup routine for years has been concealer, mascara, brows, a little bronzer and gloss.

I love "BAMBI EYE" mascara by L'Oreal.
Like you, I wear little make-up and find this easy-to-wash-off mascara lengthening, separating and long-lasting -- and for me, THAT'S AMAZING!

I'm sorry for your cancer diagnosis and the negative effects of chemo
What kind of lash look are you going for? There are so many different styles and lengths and looks.
Glue: #1 tip is to not put your lashes on too soon after apply the glue. It needs 45 to 60 seconds to get tacky.
I used to use a lash glue remover called Falscara but now I just pull them off and remove the glue on the lashes with my fingernails. If using Falscara you put the product on a cotton pad and hold over your eye for several seconds to loosen the glue. This is the preferred method. Mine is the lazy method!
I buy glue from Amazon. My local WM doesn't have it. It's EXTRA Strength
Lashes: I prefer Ardell lashes over Kiss or Salon Perfect. Depends on how bad I want the style I'm looking at but find overall that Ardell holds up better.
I've tried a LOT of styles but have recently landed on one I really like for everyday. I just took them off and threw them away. Think I got 5 wears out of them. I can't even tell I have lashes on they are that comfortable. The only higher end lashes I've tried is Huda. They sent them to me for free. Bulky, thick band. Bulky thick bands are also more likely to pop off in places. Wouldn't purchase them. Don't confuse these lashes with "Demi" Whispie lashes. They are shorter and you may prefer that but just be aware of the difference. I have hooded eyes and find short lashes to not be at all attractive on my eyes. These make my eyes look larger.
Most if not all of the videos I've seen of women applying false lashes, they first apply eyeliner. I don't. I don't care for eyeliner because of my hooded eyes. I've gotten really good at placing those puppies right on my lash line. If I need to I can go back and fill in with a black eyeliner pencil by applying it between my lashes from the bottom and also using black pencil on the top waterline. I'm SO glad to not be messing with mascara again and can put these on a lot fasterr (but I wore about 3 coats of mascara).
You are a gem, @monicakm . Thanks for taking the time to show and explain to me what's involved. Given my age, I'm seeking a natural/subtle look, with lashes a bit fuller and longer at the outer corners of my eyes, and tapering towards shorter lashes near the inner corners. I'll happily try your suggestions, as I'm truly done with mascara!
