I'm on a beauty forum and apparently I didn't know what marionette lines were either. I was thinking it was the lines from the bottom corner of your nose to your lips.
@Allthingsgirly67 I hope you don't let that snarky-ish comment keep you from posting in the future.
@monicakm I thought that too until recently, from somone else on the forum. I thought naso-labial folds were the same as marionette lines. Never thought about marionette lines! My face is a little saggy, but I don't think I have marionette lines. I have had nasolabial lines (not deep) since my thirties. Too much smiling I guess. I had a friend with heavy forehead lines in her early 30s, and I realized it was her facial expressions. I became self conscious about making sure I didn't furrow my brows! (I am older than her.)
@NYCLatinaMe I too had a facialist who was Russian and taught me about expression lines. I would raise my eyebrows and say "really?" and she would gently put her hands on my eyebrow's and was telling me to stop it. I trained myself the day I met her. To this day with help of laser early on of course I have hardly any forehead creasing and no 11's.
I only have one line a bit on one side and then the other whch sort of started me on botox. But now they have the six month one. Oh, I'm counting the days. lol. We shall see.
I could do without the botox though if necessary and I certainly do not like frozen face's. I will see when this wear's off.
Throughout the years I have studied young women's faces and they have lines just like we do from the cheek down, just not as much. It's natural.

OMGoodness, I have seen girls/young women with more lines than I have. It's something I really never paid much attention to. My granddaughter (and daughter) have more lines. I think those of us with genetic reasons for not having lines are more an exception (than the rule).
Yes @monicakm I'm sure and only meant it to be a joke. We need to laugh a bit at ourselve's. lol. Life is short.
