@monicakm

'Mental' crease is named from a line that appears on the chin's mentalis muscle.

I hate my neck crinkles. The only other age related thing I dislike is my droopy right eye. The rlt mask has helped the drooping a bit, which I can tell by my eyebrow location (it looks a bit higher).

I think my round face and the oily skin I had prior to menopause, has kept the wrinkles from showing yet. I do know they're coming. I can wait. 😀

I have marionette lines a bit and nasowhateverit's called lines a bit too. Some neck lines.  Some lines around my eyes but not much.  So far, most people don't believe I'll be 69 in a few weeks.  Last time I was at work, people said I looked 10 years younger.  Now not sure that's true but retirement may have something to do with that.  LOL  What bothers me more than all of that are my hooded eyes which seem to be getting more hooded as time goes on.

You might want something more holistic to help you like lipsomal C supplement that supports collagen in the tissue not just the skin.

Re: Marrionette lines

You might want to try RHA filler.  It will get rid of the lower face issue's.

Botox is for the forehead and side's of eye's (but not dent's we get on side of head)

If you want to opt out of surgery I suggest what @SilleeMee  states and buy it at a good price with All Day Chemist.  Unfortunately, I'm too sensitive for it. Smiley Sad

I know women who have used retinol's early on in life and they look beautiful.  I think a trenoitin plus filler is ideal along with some laser if affordable. Very glowy.

I know people who have had facelift's but look so gaunt after awhile and if in the sun it's start's hanging  down again. Today they put the fat back from your own body somewhere behind the leg and distribute into the face  and that makes sense to me.  Not just pulling it all back. You will still need filler's without putting some of your own fat back after the very pricey facelift

Yes it's complicated but very interesting.

  Facelift last's about 10 year's, that's so it is not the end all be all.  it has a life expectacy today as do laser's. But I must admit, longer.

@monicakm

As we age the face begins to look more skeletal and one of the characteristic features on a face is the hollow temporal bone areas on each side of face just back behind the eyes. A 'temple rejuvention' can help reduce the indentations in those areas.

Yep @monicakm  if you are skinny, you will see a bit of you on side head. Not too bad.

But if you are on the heavy side then you will see it on jowl's and underneath neck.

You can't win one way or the other....

BTW Patrick Mahone's  will be coming back soon, YAY! Smiley Happy

I've used Filler on marionette lines. Wonderful results! They disappear!  Nothing swollen

or weird. Nothing topical will work.

I'm on a beauty forum and apparently I didn't know what marionette lines were either.  I was thinking it was the lines from the bottom corner of your nose to your lips.

@Allthingsgirly67 I hope you don't let that snarky-ish comment keep you from posting in the future.

@monicakm I thought that too until recently, from somone else on the forum.  I thought naso-labial folds were the same as marionette lines.  Never thought about marionette lines!  My face is a little saggy, but I don't think I have marionette lines.  I have had nasolabial lines (not deep) since my thirties.  Too much smiling I guess.  I had a friend with heavy forehead lines in her early 30s, and I realized it was her facial expressions.  I became self conscious about making sure I didn't furrow my brows!  (I am older than her.)

"Mental" creases?  Never heard of those.  From your picture, I have the nasolabia folds but they're not deep and the number ONE between my eyes (not 11).  A few others here have a 1 also.  They don't show smile "crinklies"

@monicakm  That's funny, I also scratched my head and said what in the heck are mental creases!! lol.  Mariontette, mental, what else is coming down the pike?
