I am about 2 weeks over due for my fill in and powder manicure.

I am not sure how to file this polish off so I can glue my own nails, or maybe I soak my nails and get them totally redone after the crisis is over.

I know that is is by no means a major event but it is a diversion for me

@I am still oxox @Shanus May know how to get the nails off.

When I retired from teaching with my technician all the way across town, I wore  off  and filed them off.  It took several weeks as I remember.

There are numerous videos on YouTube.  Also, I've seen it discussed several times on Facebook.

@spursfan2 I just want to remove the Dip manicure and leave my gel nails intact, I am not sure this is possible

This weekend I soaked off my powder, and put on clear nailtique for the duration. My natural nails are so weak.

I  learned that acetone is not the same as nail polish remover.

I have an acrylic overlay on top of my natural nails.  It was 3 weeks Saturday since my last fill.  They are very grown out but none of them are lifting.  That's why I love my nail tech.  I guess I'm just letting them grow although the length is starting to bother me.

I'm hoping they will loosen and I can easily get them off.  I detest the entire process of soaking off acrylics.  It's a timely and a mess.

I saw a blog about how to disguise nails that need a fill. I thought it was clever. You can get a sparkly polish and put it in the area you need a fill. It was pretty! I suppose another color would work too. The chunky glitter hid the difference between the space on the nail very well. I know this isn't for everyone, but it could help someone.

I have gel nails and gel polish. I haven't had a fill in five weeks. Here in NY things closed earlier than other parts of the country, and without notice! I will need to cut and then file my nails. They are super long! My own nails are damaged after twenty plus years of gel nails.

Can anyone recommend a good top coat that is self leveling and shines? I had been using Julep which was so good but I cannot find it now.
