I had Q on yesterday but was busy so I did not watch much.  I did walk into the TV room when Mally was on and she leaned into her Skype camera for a close up of her lips.  Yuck, the lipstick looked awful, it was glossy and looked smeared on her lips.  This is the way (to me) that glossy looks on me since I have gotten older.  Looks smeary.  I just received my order of 2 matte tubes from Urban Decay and I am going to toss my glossy tubes.

 

This is not a bash against Mally or her product.  Just made me realize how bad glossy looks on mature ladies IMO.

I think that matte is equally bad looking...tends to look too dry and shows lines.  I prefer something in between.  A moisturizing satin lipstick works best for me.

Maybe it's applying too much lip gloss. Some people layer it on and on. I just put enough on to color my lips. I tend to use lip gloss more than lipsticks because they can be drying on your lips, if you do have dry lips it's much more noticeable.
