I was in another town yesterday on an errand. I had an hour to kill between appointments, so I got a pedicure from a salon I'd never been to before. There were two staff in there, an older woman and what appeared to be her son. The young man was already doing (toe) nail art on another customer, so I got the woman.
I don't think I'd have been comfortable with the guy doing a pedicure. Fingernails are one thing, but all that foot massage stuff, that would skeeve me out if a guy did it.
I'm unlikely ever to go to that salon again, so I don't have to worry about getting the guy there in future. I've never seen a male nail tech doing pedicures before. Is it common? Does it bother anyone else?
