I have a stack of baby wash cloths, the cotton ones that look a little wrinkled.  I also use Perlier cleanser with them.  All makeup gone and I just wash and reuse the cotton.  No wipes for me.  Clean one everyday.

@Beammeupscotty

This isn't a new finding.  It's been at least 10ish years or longer.  According to Gemini

Face wipes can be bad for your skin because they don't cleanse thoroughly, leaving behind grime that clogs pores and can cause breakouts. They also strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness, and the rubbing motion can cause irritation, micro-tears, and premature aging. Furthermore, many wipes contain harsh chemicals, preservatives, and fragrances that can cause further irritation.

Ineffective cleansing

  • Face wipes don't thoroughly remove all makeup, oil, and dirt, and instead can smear them around, leading to clogged pores.

  • They leave behind residue from cleansing agents and preservatives, which can irritate the skin.

Skin irritation and damage

  • The rubbing and tugging required to use wipes can be abrasive, potentially breaking down collagen and elastin fibers over time.

  • Harsh ingredients like alcohol, synthetic fragrances, and certain preservatives can dry out the skin or cause irritation.

Stripping of natural oils
  • Wipes can strip the skin of its natural, protective oils, leading to dehydration.

I don't use make-up wipes to remove make-up, but I do use them to gently wipe my make-up brushes after using them, so that on my "deep" cleaning day, there not as much left-over make-up and oil, etc. in my brushes. I use the Kirkland brand make-up wipes

As far as cleansing my face, I'm a double-cleanser.

I like to have makeup wipes around for various uses like other posters mentioned.  I them  don't use everyday or rely on them entirely.  I am gentle when using on my face.  I like either Burt's Bees or the Korres wipes.
