I'm the same way but I found that it's because I'm letting one side set in or dry while I'm working on the other side. I also work differently in the top and bottom area. While my eyeshadow and liners are setting, I work on my lips. Then I go back to my eyebrows. I can't break my routine either! I've tried just for the fun of it too.... And I end up looking funny.

Not weird at all. I put in my left contact first, my left earring, I put on my left sock and shoe first too. I also do the left side of my face first with makeup. Foundation, blush, eyeliner & mascara.
