The review and forum site is closing down after 26 years, "The closure is attributed to users migrating to social media platforms for beauty reviews and discussions, leading to a decline in the site's relevance."

 I was a member here for a long time. I liked the fact that we could PM other members. In fact I became online friends with someone who helped me a lot, with beauty products and other things. Our daughters were the same age, and we navigated the early teen years together!

I stopped posting frequently when I found these forums. I couldn't keep up with both. My one friend stopped posting. Eventually I stopped all together too. I didn't recognize most of the screen names. 

But I have such good memories! I still referred to them, mostly for nail polish reviews. 

 Iron Hill, Makeup Alley - two of my favorites, now gone.  

Thank you Elke (I think she was a former flight attendant) for starting this amazing place!

I remember years ago being on the site quite a bit!! This was a long time ago though.

I used Makeup Alley a long time ago.  The brands I was interested in didn't get many  reviews or comments after a while.  I also moved on to other sources for products and reviews.

I remember signing up at the beginning. I think I found the link to it on Lipstick Page messageboard. I loved that site, and spent hours reading it daily. I recall Hara owned it, at least in the beginning. Did she sell it at some point?

wow i haven't been on there in years, it is gone!  posted sometimes in the haircolor categories.

That is too bad.  This place use to be THE place fo makeup advice, etc.
