I think it's very difficult to purchase color cosmetics online...especially with hosts interupting explanations of the product. MAC foundations/concealers seem to have completely different warm or cool shades than all other lines and is impossible to get right unless at counter.

@Shanus   I think  you NAILED it ....  the interruptions are horrible.   One thing I also noticed is many years ago,  they would have all the colors displayed and swatch the colors so you could get a better idea of what they were,  whether foundation,  shadows,  lip products,  etc.

If you have a rep from a make up company with the host,  they should be the primary source of information.

I don't need to hear what the host's daughter likes or what the host has in her dressing room.   I would prefer to hear product info from the rep.

@nyc1   ITA and foundations that are numberd and described as cool or warm in almost every other makeup line is the opposite in MAC. Everyone's TV and computr monitor displays shades differently. That's another downside to color cosmetics online. Lipsticks, shadows, etc. sometimes don't look the same as in person.

Given up ordering any kind of make up on line and just go to my Sephora store here. All money wasted through the yrs , but finally learned ! If something does look like I want Sephora usually has it or Ulta!
