@wilma

I like to separate my lashes with a fine tooth metal comb

When I wore mascara (vs false lashes), I used a safety pin to separate my lashes.  Did it since I was a teenager.  Stuck myself in the eye a total of ONE time in all the decades.

@San Antonio Gal   I don't use an eyelash primer but I want to give it a try.   I just ordered the travel size Lancome eyelash primer from Amazon so I can try it out.

One coat here.  I just want people to know I have eyelashes.

I am a huge lover of eye lashes and mascara!  True Maybelline fan for over 20 years now.  One coat of Maybelline Colossal Volume or Falsies - amazing!  No eye irritation, stays on beautifully.

I'm fair and use a black brown mascara on top lashes only. I swipe and wriggle the wand a few times until all my lashes are covered, but I don't reapply after the lashes are dry. I like to separate my lashes with a fine tooth metal comb before they dry. Great tool, but watch out the teeth are sharp. Fortunately, I've only poked myself once.

@wilma I have one of those combs.  Comes in handy especially for the bottom lashes.  I don't like clumpy lashes although they have been the trend.  Those combs are sharp.  Mine folds up.
