MAC Studio Radiance Foundation

After watching a MAC show this weekend, I decided to try the Studio Radiance Face and Body Foundation with Brush.  The cost for the Foundation and Brush is $42.  My color is on waitlist and I was just wondering, since this is my first MAC purchase is the brush worth the $7 cost?  I can buy the foundation onthe MAC website for $35.

OMG YES!  That brush is worth way more than $7.00  I have 2 MAC brushes I've had for at least 20 years and they are still perfect.

@MrsCat21   You can buy a beautiful brush by Real Techniques.  I own a few and they never shed their bristles and wash beautifully.  You will have forever.  Check it out at ULTA, maybe Target too.

Re: MAC Studio Radiance Foundation

@MrsCat21 Mac is my favorite brand for makeup & I love so much of what they have.

I did not like that brush. I like a brush that buffs my foundation on, but that is my opinion.

I also hate that foundation, but it is probably the most loved foundation that Mac makes.

You can certainly take a chance on trying it knowing that you can pay to try it & return it, if you don't like it.

If Mac artists like that brush with that foundation I would think it was worth a try.

@Katcat1

I've been wanting to try the Real Techniques brushes.  I love their sponges and they are (in my opinion, of course), way better than BeautyBlender.

@SurferWife   Real Techniques has excellent products for reasonable prices.  I use the egg shape facial sponge all the time.

@monicakm  Just a fun fact-I think around 2005 a 4 oz bottle of F&B Foundation was $11.

Mac mascaras were $10.

Thank you ladies!  I cancelled my order.  I think I might try Mally's new foundation instead.

Re: MAC Studio Radiance Foundation

@MrsCat21 I didn't mean to discourage you from tryin it. I have skin that gets oily & breaks out from everything & F&B foundation just didn't work for me.

And, I don't like the flat paddle brush to paint foundation on my skin, but Mac has been selling those two items for a really long time so they must work for a lot of people.

Good luck with whatever you decide to try.

Re: MAC Studio Radiance Foundation

I was going to try this when it aired,  but then I took the time to read reviews on some major retailers.  Longtime users are very upset with a change and color chart issues, and decided that I was not going to risk it.  Too bad when companies feel the need to change formulas or colors, people do not want to waste their hard earned money.  Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
