I've been using Garnier Herbashine SP hair color for the past year or so and love it. However, Garnier has discontinued one of the shades I use (light ash brown). I mixed light ash brown with the medium ash brown to get the perfect shade to match my natural hair color which is dark brown. The MAB on its own is just too dark. I like using the ash tones because they do not pull any red in my hair and produce a nice cool shade of dark brown. I do not like a reddish cast at all. I have very little gray, only around my hair line and a little in the temple area. I've tried the natural browns in the Herbashine line but they definitely pull red in my hair which doesn't look natural IMO.
I tried Clairol's Natural Instincts SP hair color in the ash tone browns and was pretty satisfied with the color, but it did not cover the gray in my hair line very well and left my hair feeling dry which I didn't get with Herbashine.
So, I'm thinking about trying Loreal Healthy Look SP hair color. They have two shades that do not add any yellow, red or blue tones. Has anyone tried this line? The reviews online are very mixed.
