I love Essie Fiji but the formula is hard to work with....streaky, patchy, bald spots when applying additional strokes, impossible to get it even in under 4 coats. I have plenty of sheer pinks in my collection, so no suggestions needed there. I’m looking for an opaque pale pink that goes on evenly and easily. As always, thank you my hive!

I've tried every brand out there and to no avail those pale/opaque colors never work on my nails.  I think it has to do with the condition of your nails.  That's my conclusion.

look at some of the less expensive brands and play around

opaque light colors are hard to do, especially on oneself

I've been wearing Essie Matter of Friction a lot and it's really pretty.  It's a very opague, pale pink.  You only need two coats and it holds up really well if you use the top coat.  I love the brush on the Gel Couture polishes, they make applying it on yourself extremely easy. (sorry for the huge picture, couldn't get it to shrink)
