Usually when a person is hired for a job, a start date is established. That has been my experience, anyway.

When someone tells people they have been hired for a job, isn't the natural response "when do you start"? I couldn't care less about Ms Mason or her life or her start date, etc., etc. I was just making an observation that when Ms Mason announced that she is coming back to QVC, she could just as well have included a statement as to when her return date would be, or even the fact that it hadn't been decided yet. That most certainly would have eliminated much of the fuss and speculation about the second coming of Lisa.

I meant she was "dragging out" announcing when her starting date is going to be --not the starting date ITSELF.

nomless: That could very well be. Again, that could have been said in her post about returning to QVC. She also could have clarified in what capacity she was returning which also would have eliminated much confusion and speculation. But-- look at all the ATTENTION she's gotten!

I am sure that QVC intends to make a formal announcement with the start date for Lisa Mason's return. I remember when Jane Treacy returned after a year or so off, the Q did a promo of her dancing (I can't remember if she was alone or with someone). Also, they made a formal announcement!

They will probably make the announcement when she is situated; she was not living in PA. I would be concentrating on a place to live and establishing medical care for my husband. Often, a starting date is not solid with complicated relocation issues

It was posted on another thread that Lisa Mason herself did indeed confirm she's returning to QVC as a regular host not a vendor. Also it was mentioned elsewhere that she would be returning sometime in April.

Why are you amazed? The purpose of Customer Service is to answer customer questions. Should people get your approval before they ask a question? Just to be sure they are not being too ""pushy?"" Can't you just be nice instead of being so rude?
