So.....I had a 20% off coupon for my total purchase at Ulta and went yesterday. Big mistake - I went a little crazy! (well a lot crazy).
I've been a fan of LQ lippies since Poppy first came on the Q, although admittedly some colors have been misses for me. Generally though I really like them but rarely buy them at QVC since there are better prices elsewhere when using coupons.
Anyway....with my 20% off I really splurged and bought Let Them Eat Cake which is available here on Q (link below). I haven't yet worn it but am intrigued by the color and its future multiple uses. It's a very glittery lavender color. I've gotten to love lavender lipsticks, my favorite - and most flattering - being Fly High by Bare Minerals. I can see that going great underneath this Let Them Eat Cake. The shade as it looked tested on the back on my hand is so beautiful! One of the many reviews I read online said that wearing it makes your teeth look whiter too (well that would be an unexpected bonus).
I only bought it because Ulta said I can return it in 60 days if I don't like it once I've tried it; the Ulta clerk who checked me out told me she has it and loves it. It's too expensive to keep if I don't love it. The packaging is gorgeous - pink velvet outer box and gunmetal metallic tube, although as I told the checkout person, I could very well do without the special packaging and reduce the cost by $20. hahaha Anyway, it was a treat to myself for the holidays - I'll let you know whether I'll keep it after I've tried wearing it out a few times. It is much more spring season looking than for now, but I'm going to wear it anyway.

Adding: the photo of it on this site doesn't look like the real color at all. ![]()

Beautiful color! Enjoy your purchase!

@hoosieroriginal Thank you. Wish you could see it in person. A lot of the online reviews described it as "ethereal" which I agree with. It looks a bit mystical in nature, with "fairydust" in it. The color really is pretty - I hope you see it somewhere out and about in person. I appreciate your post. ![]()

Your post must have created a run on it. It shows sold out.

@Pearlee, I thought that LQ was excluded from ULTA coupons. Did you have a coupon that had no exclusions?

@Pearlee - bet it would look really nice with a plum colored top. Looks like you sold it out! The Q is gonna hire you!

Ulta's December 20% coupon included most prestige brands. The only exclusions are: Lancome, Dermatoligica, Nakeds, hair salon services, Benefit brow service, Dyson hairdryer, and a couple of other things I can't recall. I used the coupon on a purchase of products from Pur Minerals, Laura Geller, and Art of Shaving, but Lancome Bi-Facil was full price.

So I checked out some reviews and swatches of this lipstick, and I can say that it would not work for me. Many, many reviewers mentioned that high amount of glitter -- chunky glitter --and the fallout from it. Also, the swatches look like a very pale sparkly pink more than lavender, which would not flatter me at all.
You can see the lipstick, swatches, and a picture of it on the model's lips HERE.

@suzyQ3 Mine was the same so LQ was included. It is usually excluded from the coupons which is one reason I bought LQ yesterday.
