Re: Let's get real about Botox. How much does it average per year?

I spend about $600 a year on Botox.

No one mentioned the mouth area unless I read too fast. That's my problem, the mouth and jawline. I can live with my eyes.

I have never done botox i was told i really don't need it.But i do Radiesse forr my smile lines and some fullness to my cheeks.I have been spending about 1300.00 dollars a year. For some reason Radiesse is not lasting long on me.I have told the nurse this and she says i look great. But when i look in the mirror i don't see much of a difference.I'm starting to think that she stinks at doing it.I think i might have to look elsewhere.Yes she is a nurse but i heard she also teaches it.But i really don't think she is doing it right i think she is going to deep.

At what age did most of you start using Botox?

I've just come to the sad realization that if I would give up Starbucks, I could afford Botox.

That's the catch as it will really vary depending on where you live. I know here it would likely cost significantly less than many spend on skincare yearly. But then some don't want those procedures so that's not an option for them.

Where the $$$ can start adding up is if you end up needing additional fillers although they usually have a longer life span than Botox does. I am considering checking with a derm myself and getting an estimate on the issues that really bug me.

I could care less about forehead wrinkles and some slight crows feet don't bug me much either. But the 11's and a few other choice spots I would love to see magically disappear.

I decided this year to start being very diligent about using my LED and ultrasonic machine and although slight, I can definitely see some improvement. If I stick with it, I might get adequate satisfaction from them and then have less need for too much professional intervention. Am sure will still require some. But I've had Botox before and it's not bad. Fillers worry me more.

I have some friends who take a yearly (or more if needed) trip out here to have these services because they are so much less than where they live. They time it so they get some break from winter, have some visiting time with friends and get their faces perfected. They save a lot on having it done here.

And the traveling expenses probably add up to the same cost anyway. Is it ever possible for you to leave a comment that is not five paragraphs in length? Nobody wants to read all that. Get to the point.

Go back to the darkness where the sun never shines. I've never done this before so you will have the distinction (hardly can use honor and you in the same sentence) of being my first "ignore" Don't you feel special? I know many here share my sentiments as any time you add your less than 1 cent worth, you insist on insulting someone. Adios!

Hyacinth .............. I just started with the ultrasonic recently so can only say at this point that I've noticed some tightening which was not there from using the Lightstim alone. I am optimistic as I am really focusing both on one specific area that so bugs me and seeing even slight improvement from just combining them is promising.

I'll keep you posted.

I read your contribution to this thread, wackers, and found it more than worthwhile. My goodness! It was five short paragraphs, not War and Peace.

Shoekitty .............. they started doing Botox in the neck area a few years ago here. I saw a news special one day on it with some before and afters and they were impressive. As I recall, the pinpoint the needle up under the jaw and right below the ear area which tightens up most of the neck.

The cost of lotions and potions may add up (I really don't invest a lot, and I don't do anti-aging products) but I'd still rather spend the money there.

I just can't handle the thought of willing putting toxins into my body. {#emotions_dlg.scared} I just don't think it's a good idea, and I don't think they've proven what the long term effects are. I'd rather have wrinkles than have health issues.
