Leave-in conditioner vs. regular conditioner?

Is there really any difference? If so, can someone please tell me what the difference is? Thanks!

I believe that the leave in is much lighter usually a spray. The ones your rinse out are usually thicker.

Thanks, KatCat1. I have a few different leave-in conditioners that are in a cream form. I use regular conditioner, too. I've often wondered if there is really any difference.

I have always used both types of conditioner. Until recently, I only used a liquid form of leave in. Last month I got a free bottle of spray leave in from Sally beauty and am hooked on the spray type. I can feel the difference in my hair when I don't use leave in.

You use regular conditioner after you shampoo and leave in helps keep hair moist and conditioned after it is dry, prevent frizzies ...etc you would want to use both. I first started useing leave-ins in 2012 for the first time and my hair has drastically improved. hair is easier to comb, less breakage etc... I like to mix a little oil in mine

My favorite leave in is pantene split end mender. it not only does that it is also very moisturizing to my hair. I have elbow length hair and use 2 pumps total for all of it. I then add a pump or 2 of suave argan oil or matrix oil

More moisture, easier detangling, and a longer-lasting effect is what you get with the leave-in.
