Lavender?

I was thinking about trying the Lavender next and I was reading on another discussion topic that lavender causes cell death. I've googled, but only see where it is toxic in vitro. I also came across one article that states that only synthetic lavender is toxic, not natural.

Is anyone that uses the Lavender concerned about this? Was the original poster incorrect that it causes cell death? Does anyone have a link to the scientific studies or know who conducted the study? I can't find it.

Say it isn't so... I love lavender.
