Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

@amyb   🤗.  Glad that is the one!   I am a light skin tone.. but if you are medium...I think it will still be fine.  Check out Target.  They carry some of her products...and I think this is one of them.

Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

@amyb --yes I have used drugstore tanners--actually the ones you mentioned and OMG---I smelled like dirty feet!!! And the color was more to the orange side too. Just horrible!! Tanners and I have a hate-- hate relationship anyway--all of them end up smelling bad on me--must be my chemistry. Now I do well with bronzers--the kind that are a one time application and then they come off in the shower. QVC had one that was clear with tiny little dark bubbles in it that really worked well. Haven't been able to find it anymore. But, am not into tanning anymore---just not important. Will use a little bronzer on my face tho mostly as a blush. I think I have LG body tanner---not sue I ever used it tho. I do have a tinted primer by BE and another one that I love, is from MAC

I learn so much from ladies here...had no idea Target carries LG too! Anyhow, just purchased two shades on LG.com... "Roman Holiday" (bronze with rose gold undertones) and the "Tahitian Glow" (Bronze with subtle gold undertones)...I probably did NOT need both but was curious about both and want to use them differently...one more for face (Roman H.) and the other for more "tan look" on legs, arms, for summer. And they had a great sale price plus and extra 15% coupon to use on both. Free returns there too, in case any of it didn't work out!

Tks again. Smiley Happy

@wagirl I hear you on all...

I have never been into the self-tanning thing...the smell, the process, the finding the right product that doesn't streak, look orange etc...just all of it...way too much for me or what I care to do.

I also was just looking for just a little added glow, especially before I get any real sun-kissed glow.

I'm not into tanning that much either....as in go outside to "get a tan"...but I love the outdoors, beach etc, and even with sunscreen, I do get natural golden color, which is enough for me. I do try to protect my skin, with hats (which I love wearing all summer, anyway), umbrellas (because I just don't tolerate "baking" on the beach anymore, I just like to BE on the beach, not necessarily in the direct sun all day!), and use a daily SPF more now. A little color is all I've ever liked and never got dark brown.

So, I've been an LG girl for years, and I'd been curious about that Tahitian glow a few times before, finally figured I'd give it a try. With some warmer weather showing up lately, wearing dresses again, and even shorts last week, and before my legs get color on the beach...I just felt I wanted to add a little something to them. We'll see how this works.

Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

Hi @amyb

I'm late to the party (as usual🥴), but I use Laura's baked body frosting in Tahitian Glow.

Several years ago I loaned it to a niece for her wedding day--no worry about it transferring to her wedding dress although who knows, the formula might have changed since.

I am on my second compact and have used it for years, so it does last a very long time. I would be interested in hearing how you like the Rosy color.

Hope it works for you!

Hi @magicmoodz Glad to hear your feedback on this. I only tried both on me, quickly yesterday, before hopping in the shower. (wasn't bare skin weather here yesterday to actually keep it on)

First...I love the Roman Holiday "rosey" shade..actually best. I tried that one on my face & saw it more there than on my arms/legs. I could see the color best on one side of my face vs. the other side w/out it. The effect is just as the description sounds...a rosier, golden tan glow...very pretty shade, I thought. Not muddy, but a natural tint, as you would want, especially on the face.

As for the product overall...the judge & jury is still out. I have to try more of it on my legs/arms to see any effect. Also, I realized it didn't come with the sponge/puff, they presented it with on Q, which I think might be a more effective way to apply it...so I'll have to see what I can get.

I found a large Bare Minerals Kabuki type brush, never used, I got years ago, that worked well to apply this with. I just think the mitt/puff whatever you call it, might be better for applying moist & depositing color better.

I swirled strongly at first as that's what I have to do with my B&B, but then realized it caused a LOT of messy fallout all over the compact...so I'll be more careful with that.

I noticed the color impact on my face. On my arms & legs it was very subtle, hard to tell. I wasn't sure I loved it...but I think I have to apply more, and/or try it moist. Product was more powdery than creamy (I'm never sure what to expect with LG's baked products, sometimes I think they might be creamier). I think a tinted cream would work best for this type product, but nonetheless, you can wet this. I don't usually ever wet my powder products but might try with this.

As of yesterday I wasn't sure the product was worth the payoff, but did like the Roman Holiday, so I know I'll keep that. For the other $15, I'm not returning the Tahitian Glow, so I'll see if I can get more payoff next time I use it.

With the fall out I saw I was not sure about it transferring to clothing or couches if you sit etc...but I'll be careful. This is not a product I'll use everyday, just on legs with dresses and shorts when going out, and that rosey one when I want a little "pre-summer" or even during the summer rosier glow! Not all over my face, but sunkissed in spots.

Again...if you liked that product, I think you'd be pleased with the Roman Holiday. Smiley Happy

Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

@amyb

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this product. Now you have me very interested in purchasing the Roman Holiday! Truth be told, I sometimes swipe a little Tahitian Bronze on my cheeks  during the winter months when feeling a little "unalive". Haha!

If I can offer a suggestion, the big puff that came with the older version of the body frosting is what I use. In fact I am using the puff from my first compact and have saved the one from my latest purchase. I think if you try a puff you will be pleased with application and no fallout.

Oh, the price on the LG website is so low! I think I paid $40+ for mine and even then because it works so well and lasts so long, I feel it was a good value.

Thanks so much Amy! Hope you ar having a great day in Connecticut. It is a beautiful sunny day in Minneapolis with temps expected in the mid 70s today and low 80s tomorrow.☀️

Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

@magicmoodz You're very welcome. If you go ahead and purchase Roman Holiday, (no pressure, lol)...I'd be interested in your thoughts. I'd say, "you don't need both" but in truth, I do find them different enough, tone-wise, and the price on LG's site IS worth it!

I agree with you, I believe it is meant to be used with the puff, and without realizing what I was actually buying I think I expected it to come with mine, like it used to on QVC. I'll have to ask on LG.com if I may purchase it separately or else I'll just look for something like that on Amazon.

Enjoy your day; your weather sounds beautiful! We're sunny but cooler for now here in CT...we had high 70's last week...so nice and springy! But today, back in the 40's and 2 nights ago had to bring the plants in because we got a frost again. No worries...we are so used to Spring throwing all kinds of things at us until it finally sets in mid-May! 😎 Take care!

Re: Laura Geller Body Bronzer??

@amyb

Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Time got away from me. We were recently involved in a hit and run in the Trader Joe's parking lot. Luckily we got his license, called the police and they were at his home before he even got there.

Monday we got a rental, but it was a sedan and I wanted an SUV, so we had find one available at another site. It took lots of calls yesterday but finally mission accomplished. I'm sad because  my car has less than 2,000 miles.

Thanks again for your impression of the LG Body Frosting. I haven't decided on Roman Holiday yet . In looking at the model on the LG site, it appears there is quite a lot of bronzer in the product which might be too dark for me. I have kind of sworn off powders (except for my eyeshadows). I don't wear foundation, but rather Burt's Bees Baby Oil and now use a cream blush.  I am on that quest to have dewy looking skin.

I do love the frosting for arms, legs and décolleté. I hope you do too!
