I also watched the presentation & thought this looked great.

My question is, how does this work with blush? Normally, the contour color goes on just below the apple of the cheek hollow, & the highlighter goes on the upper part of cheek. The presenters weren't using blush, & basically filled in the cheek area with their product.

golden retriever, thank you for asking the question as I was wondering the same thing. Maybe you're not suppose to use any but that would seem rather "dumb" at least to me. Have thought about ordering this but not until how blush application is answered or clarified.
I have Lancome's blush/contour compact. I have two of these and use them all the time. You first apply the contour to the cheek bone, then apply the blush, and then you apply the high lighter. Their powder contour palettes with their brush works great. I can't wait to try the stick one. I love their products. They are fabulous!

I caved. Ordered the bisque. Not sure about the color because I am on the lighter side of medium so I hope this one works. Bronzer has always been so intimidating and I like the Trish McEvoy but.....that's why we are all here right!

I'm also a tad lighter then medium and I ordered Buff because Robert applied buff on a darker skinned model and it looked great. I figured I rather go a tad light then go too dark.

Bling, I just saw your post and now I am thinking that I should order the Buff. Darn. Don't know if the Bisque will be too dark for me. It does look dark in the tube.

Hi there Tricolor. I noticed that also in the bisque it was a bit dark. I can wear medium foundation and I can wear light foundation. When wearing medium I know it's medium. Hope you know what I'm trying to say. I do know Robert did use a model I would have thought would pick the bisque, but Robert used Buff on her to my surprise. I was going to order both colors, but I'm going to just stick with the buff. I think buff will be dark enough. This is on extended delivery. You can still change colors if you want to. Take another closer look at the two colors before you decide. Or watch the video again. That is what I did before picking color.

Thanks BlingQueen022, I went back to the video and decided to change mine to the Buff also. Luckily they still had it, I noticed the "I've wah" is sold out. (MarenSeattle that made me laugh).

And what a pretty lip color the models were wearing!

I agree that the Bisque does look dark. I am going back and changing to Bisque. I DVR'd the 2 AM EST show and Robert used the Bisque on a fair red haired model. Thought it looked way too dark even for me.

I watched that 2am show and was totally confused on color. I ordered both the bisque and the buff. I figured either one won't go to waste. I'll have contour for life.

Re: Lancome's New Contour/highlighter

Once again, you can use blush with contour-when contour does its job- chiascuro- light and dark- natural shadows and light. If the Contour overtly looks like bronzer and has color, stop there. If you need a little rosiness, add a minimal amount of blush to start. You can always add, but you can't take away. I have watched so many tutorials and just about all of the MU artists do add blush.
