Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

Hello,

For all of you who use the Lancer method, what do you use to remove makeup? I see that he has makeup remover wipes, but I really like to do a double cleanse at night to remove all of the makeup. If you don't use Lancer, what do you use for a makeup remover or dual cleanse?

TIA!!!

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

@jasminesmom I haven't tried Lancer, yet.

I use argan oil to break down my makeup. It works for all of my long wearing makeup & waterproof makep without making my eyes oily or making them sting.

I started with Josie Maran, but I use a lot, so I buy Ulta or Shea Moisture brand.

It works really well & is soothing to my skin.

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

I use a face wipe as well to remove my eye make up and any face make up.  Then I use an actual cleanser or exfoliator.  If using Lancer I'll use one of the two or I'll combine both the cleanser and the exfoliator and use that.  I exfoliate 2-3 times a week.

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

HI JASMINESMOM!

FOR ME I WEAR VERY LITTLE MAKEUP ON A DAILY BASIS,  BUT WHEN I DO NEED TO REMOVE IT I USE EITHER PURITY OR BEEKMAN WIPES.

THEN I FOLLOW IT WITH THE POLISH AND CLEANSE.

NEVER DID TRY LANCER'S WIPES, BUT I AM SURE THEY ARE GOOD.

HOPE YOU ARE LOVING "THE METHOD"!

HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR DAY!

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

I use whatever type of oil cleanser I have on hand.  Lately, I have used Bioderma micellar water.  I like using this because it's quick and easy to use.  You can see the makeup on the cotton pad.  Then I go in with the Cleanse product.

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

@jasminesmom

Started not to answer this since it was for Lancer users, then I saw your last sentence.  I use (and am almost out of my 2nd bottle) Tatcha Oil Makeup Remover.  It works great but I'm mostly amazed at how quickly and completely it rinses off.  When I wear makeup (1-2x a week) I triple cleanse.  First Tatcha Oil Makeup Remover, Tatcha or Naturium Rice Cleanser and then Tatcha Rice Powder for exfoliation

Why It Works

The Camellia Cleansing Oil thoroughly cleanses the skin without stripping it of its natural moisture, leaving skin feeling balanced and nourished. It does not contain mineral oil, so the liquid emulsifies completely with no oily residue. The hydrating formula of this facial cleansing oil draws out oils, removes sunscreen and waterproof makeup (even mascara), which makes it perfect for incorporating into your skincare ritual. Ideal for all skin types, including dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, and combination skin.

When The Camellia Cleansing Oil is used daily with the Rice Polish

After 4 weeks:

100% showed improvement in the appearance of wrinkles*

95% showed improvement in the appearance of fine lines*

----------------------------------------------

However, I think the Naturium is just as good and after I run out of this last tube of Tatcha Rice Wash and Camilla Oil Cleaner will be using Naturium exclusively.  Much better price too altho I wouldn't use it if it was free if it didn't work as well.

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

[ Edited ]

@jasminesmom - I wear makeup most days and I have a couple of different cleansers in rotation including Lancer.

I always use a cleansing wipe, Beekman or the Costco Kirkland brand to remove the makeup. If I'm using Lancer cleansing system, splash water on face after removing makeup, then apply the polish, gentle polishing, remove with wet wash cloth (or in shower), then the cleanser.

Re: Lancer/Double Cleanse Question

I highly recommend DHC Deep Cleansing Oil for makeup removal.  It has been a favorite of mine for many years.  Recently, I also have become a fan of Elemis cleansing Balm.  It emulsifies makeup in a flash to prepare your skin for the second phase of cleansing.  Having said that, both of those cleansers can be enough on their own, but if you are devotedly following Lancer's Method, you would not want to skip his cleanser.

@jasminesmom If you prefer a wipe recommendation, the Beekman wipes are the best I've ever used.  I had never liked any brand of wipes (prestige or drugstore) before trying Beekmans. The Beekman wipes leave the skin feeling clean and soft, not clean and stripped.
