Ladies with long hair

Hi I have a question for all of the ladies with long hair. I have thick red hair down to the middle of my back and have been using wen for almost a year. At first it made my hair sooo soft and easy to comb. Now my hair feels rough and gets tangled. I haven't changed anything. I thought maybe I wasn't using enough, but I have a 32oz bottle and its half way gone and I havent even been using it a month! Wen is too expensive for the amount I have to use! So I was wondering what other women with long, thick hair use? Thanks!
