Hoping Evine Live lands her as well as Steve Bryant to the mix when they debut next month.

Is she kidding? any prospective employer had to only turn on the TV to assess her abilities. Lisa was a " big fish in a little pond " while at QVC....now she may find her star status isn't in much demand outside of the Q....I wish her well but I think her fans have vastly overestimated her marketability in the "real world".

I must say that I miss Lisa's style and fashion advice. I really liked when she would talk about how a flared leg jean could balance out your weight. Same thing with a little hood on a sweatshirt, etc. I never heard her go on and on about a "crisp white shirt"!! Smiley Wink

Went to her facebook page earlier, in a pic she posted she posted "While trying to figure out what my next adventure will be hanging out with these 2 lovely gals" or whatever she said. So no I don''t think Lisa has any plans on what she will do next.

And wasn't it interesting that one of the ladies with whom she was breaking bread (for the second time recently, per her FB page) was the former head of QVC's US operations, who left in September, shortly before Lisa's big announcement of her impending departure... They'd appear to be dropping like flies up in West Chester and given the awful programming and product mix, who can blame them... Getting out while the getting is good, perhaps...?

That is interesting stevieb. Could be a corporate shake up/purging of their top salaried people. Changes coming in the new year that would not be in the bests interests of those working for QVC.

I know a company that fired its' VP who had been with them from the creation of the company. 2 months later his sister who was head of operations was fired. One by one the highest salaried managers got either fired or demoted, had severe pay cuts, took away vacation time, overtime [which were in a signed contract], decreased benefits, etc., right down the line. Starting hiring less experienced people at the lowest wage they could pay & only offered part time hours.

It will play out.

Who knows, I certainly don't, but my gut tells me the former executive was shown the door, possibly even scapegoated... but that Lisa, possibly having some inside knowledge of future directions being planned, and possibly with knowledge of changes that would've negatively impacted her, opted to exercise her option to bail... She might also have been unhappy with the seeming unceremonious dumping of her friend and that too might've been part of her decision making process.

By most accounts, QVC's profits haven't been precisely glowing for a while, and let's face it, the on-air part of their operation has never been worse. The former executive has now been gone long enough that even if she was primarily responsible for directions we've seen QVC taking over the past few years, those remaining have clearly had time to take some steps, however small, in a different direction, but we surely aren't seeing anything changing for the better...

Yep, it'll all play out, but what remains to be seen is how many of us will be around to watch it... I absolutely can't abide watching QVC anymore. The programming is almost uniformly dull and the product mix nonexistent.

Is there some reason you can't go to her Facebook page? You know - the page Lisa herself posts on pretty much every day, telling everyone what's up with her? What time she gets up, what she has for breakfast, when she exercises, who she had dinner with, when she gets her hair colored, etc., all accompanied by photos?

are you saying, that like many many other people, that Lisa uses her Facebook page to post her every move? That IS weird!

Are you saying that everyone who is on Facebook posts their every move? Not true, of course. And those are all things Lisa herself did post about - that others on FB might or might not post, depending upon their personality and why they have a FB page.

Not only their every move, but make up fantasy lives or embellish their lives to make it sound more interesting.

I don't do Facebook but know people who do & I have seen the things people we know write & the pictures they post. Unbelievable things. As well as posting about their employers & fellow employees. Very sad.

LM AO. Of COURSE these comments always come from people who "don't do" Facebook themselves, but yet know all about it. Right, well, there's credibility and then there's...no credibility, just "people say" and "people I know have told me." Okay.

I am not a fan of LR, but watching how this all played out, I am really doubtful that she left voluntarily. Why would she? She had a perfect life, she was the Queen of QVC. She had her hands into everything. But I think the straw that broke the camel's back was the GILI line. Copying the top designer houses down to the last detail does not show someone of good character. I cannot imagine anyone being deliberately so unethical and dishonest. And even worse she was so vocal about what she had done, even proud. And after all of that there were problems with quality throughout the line.

I don't think she has anything lined up and it will be interesting to see if anyone is interested in her. Her mouth is her worst enemy. She should humble herself and act her age. Life at QVC will be much better without her and who knows, maybe they will get some new lines for everyone.
