We recently did some work on our home which made it necessary to empty some closets, including the linen closet that holds my beauty stash. I did a stash reduction a couple years ago, so it wasn't horrible, but I did have some stuff that I used two or three times before I stuck them out of sight, out of mind in the linen closet.
There have been a few threads lately about not buying so much beauty, figuring out what works for you and sticking with it, etc. I like the concept, and I do know what works best for me, makeup wise, but I still keep trying new stuff, most of which does not work for me. I guess I'm afraid of getting stuck in a rut. We all know someone who has had the same hairstyle for decades, or who always wears the same, tired shade of pink lipstick. So I ask you: what is the difference between having a "signature look" and being stuck in a beauty rut?
