I guess you could call her a rescue, her mommy needed help as Emmy would get in with the miniature horses and she feared she would get hurt! I rescued her sight unseen. My ex had to drive to Arkansas to get her...LOVE her so much! I think, I KNOW that rescues love us because we saved them..they're precious!

I worked at a vets office and met a few mini pin's. I was surprised at how sweet they could be. I think because the full size get such a bad rap that people don't realize how sweet they can be. I had three rescue dogs years ago, the smallest had the Napoleon complex but the other two were my babies. I would still like to find another collie/shepherd someday. My current dog a peke is spoiled. She thinks she should be given treats from a fork or spoon. The poor baby really misses my son when he goes to his dads house. She gets so sad looking (well as sad as a peke can look, lol). My kids are 16 and 20 (no grandkids yet thank goodness), I started late because I ended up adopting them and Korea had an age requirement between 36 and 42 at the time for adopting.

Kat, you're another wonder!! I love the fact that you rescued dogs! I also love pekes!! Would you believe my boys are twins, 21 and my oldest 25?? I was first pregnant at 37, then again at 40, lol! I was a late bloomer too, lol! I love big dogs but have only had small ones. I've had a shihtzu poodle mix, 2 Japanese chins and 1 shih tzu. Love em all!

Emmiesmom what is a Japanese Chin? I never heard of that breed. We had a Shihtzu that we loved but she had such severe allergies that she was hairless except for her head, rear and feet. Bless her heart, she died young. I think she was around 6 or 7, she was my dog but ended up being my mothers dog and lived with my mother. When I worked at the vets it seems that that breed has many allergy issues. I found out that the Cavalier Spaniel has terrible over breeding issues that cause their brain to expand beyond the skull size. I tend to like the small breeds but my collie/shepherd was my baby. He was being beaten by a man with a cane and my then fiancé brought him home. You could not take anything away from him or he'd bite you. So I would work with him till he at least stopped biting. He and I were having money issues and eating a lot of popcorn for food at one point. That poor dog would not touch popcorn after that time, lol. I was kicked out of my apartment for having him but managed to find a place to live for him and I. He and I went through a lot together.
