Re: Judy Crowell and Hairmax

I have always liked Judy--no matter what she is on TV for. And echo what @cjm61 said in her post! Would love to see her more.

Re: Judy Crowell and Hairmax

Judy has not aged at all !! i agree, would like to see someone repping this product who has thinning hair so we can see their progress each time they appear.

@cjm61

I purchased the Hairmax Laser Band about 4 years ago when it was a TSV and have been using it religiously 3x's a week after my shower and on damp hair, for me the band is easy and simple to use and part of my morning routine. I have fine hair and as I got older my hair was getting thinner, it's still on the thin side but not any less I've noticed.  My hairdresser even made a comment that my hair seemed much fuller, I never told her I was using the Hairmax band.  Good luck to you if you decide to purchase the helmet.

Re: Judy Crowell and Hairmax

Some presenters sell so many different products I can't imagine that they actually own and use all of them.

I watched a presentation on Q2 & Judy said she used hairmax but there were no progress photos. Shawn K gave a testimonial too, not sure if she used hairmax but she did have an alopecia patch & can relate🤷‍♀️

Judy mentioned that no other products on the market had 272 laser bulbs, not sure it's an accurate claim. I thought Capillus has it & more recently maybe other brands have options too.

There are several brands that have at least 272 laser lights. Some have more. My CapillusPro has 272.

When you look at the number of lights on a device, make sure that they are all laser lights. Some devices use a combo of laser and LED lights. LEDs are not as effective and are cheaper, too.

I personally believe the trick to HairMax and other devices is to start early. Don't wait til the follicles are closing, and dying. Keep them going. I know I have been using Rogaine for 20 years, when my hair was super thick. My hair thinned a bit, but still good    I am convinced rogaine has helped keep what I have. My mom thinned greatly as did all my aunts . They all had super fine, thin, balding hair starting about late 60's, early 70's.   My grandfathers and uncles balded.you have to keep going on all hair treatments, you cant quit. I was thinking about hairmaxx myself.

judy may be maintaining her hair as it thins. Usually we notice the loss first, more than strangers. Judy has always struck me as a host who wouldn't bald faced lie (no pun intended), lol.  I am sure she wouldn't represent a oroduct she felt bogus.

@SilleeMee  Perhaps you can help.  My husband is thinking of this. And I will use it as well.  Hairmax sells on the combs on Amazon.  A few bucks less, and no shipping. One with 2 day prime. What is the difference?  Are they even the same. . I am going blind trying to compare.  Also he has thininning in back as usual for men. Woukd the comb, or cap be better. He has a larger head size so we were worried about fit for cap.  Any help is appreciated!

Re: Judy Crowell and Hairmax

@shoekitty

All the Hairmax devices use the same FDA-cleared laser lights. Their combs, headbands and caps all have the same kind of lasers in them. The difference is in the number of lasers in each kind of device. The more lights, the better. Combs and headbands need to be manually moved around to get full coverage. A cap will cover the top of the head and no need to move it around.

The device you choose is really about a matter of convenience and ease of use plus with the increased number of lasers in the cap or the band, there will also be the higher cost.

Combs will always be the least expensive but those also take more time to get full coverage per treatment.  It's up to you how you want to handle managing a device. Caps are expensive but they are mostly hands-free and take less time per treatment.

@SilleeMee  Thank you so much for the synopsis on design types. I was thinking that time was the main difference in products. One thing I am on the fence about, is the hat size.  If it will fit husbands head.  I know I will have no problem. He always takes  extra large hats and such.  I wonder if the hat sat not on top of head...if it would still work?
