I've been seeing those ads for that face balm (looks like a blush with "glow")  on Facebook for several months- I understand the face balm looks good, but is sticky/ tacky- so that turns me off.

She addresses that. You you have to tap, tap, tap all over your face to get the glow and to prevent the tackiness. Works for me!

@Judaline   I have been tempted to try this product. I'm not into glitter but I love a glow. My biggest problem with anything cream is I have a brown spot on my cheek right where the blush goes and cream blushes tend to take the makeup off right there and back comes the spot. Maybe the tap tap method would not rub my foundation or concealer off.  What do you think?

I guess you could try it. Everyone mentions glitter and I don't understand that. There's no glitter??? I guess you could add your concealer after you've applied the balm. I use the pinkish balm and I will sometimes need a dab of concealer on one spot. You can't really tell. Experiment. Maybe they have travel sizes you could buy-I really am not sure.

Re: Jones Road Beauty

[ Edited ]

I tried the Jones Road Miracle Balm and love it. I only use the Beekman tinted primer and the Miracle Balm and that is it. I am out the door. The Miracle Balm gives me some nice color to my face. I am 65 and it is perfect for me.

When I first purchased the Miracle Balm, I did not like the smell. I did not use it. Then I decided to try again. I just use a little dab, warm it with my fingers then tap it onto my cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead. I do not smell it and there is no stickiness or sparkles. You have to use a little bit and tap it on. It is light to use.

I read here that the person's hair got stuck on the Miracle Balm. I would say, that this person applied to much product and did not apply it correctly. My skin looks very smooth with the product on and my skin is not tacky.

@amyb Hi Amy-I personally have NOT noticed ANY sticky/tackiness on my skin. I also don’t tap it all over my face, but just rub it on my cheeks like any cream blush. I guess if you used a ton it could be sticky, but my skin easily soaks up the amount I use without issue. It doesn’t interfere with my foundation or anything either. I love it. There are some pretty “glittery” shades but those are mostly the “hour” ones (magic hour, golden hour, etc). Flushed has zero sparkle at all. There is a person on posh mark who sells little containers of MB for 15 bucks or something if you wanted to try it for a cheaper price. I’m not that person btw lol. I’ve just seen the posts and thought that was pretty clever.

@Blissa Tku. Good to know. That is how I was interested in using them, only...on my cheeks as blush. I may check out the Poshmark thing too. Tks for that info!

Also thinking about the postmark samples. I got some What the Foundation. It stays tacky, especially with no setting powder. I hate that feeling, but somehow I still really like it and keep using it. I normally have a very minimalist routine with tinted sunscreen amd maybe some BnB and a little blush. I've been using a clinique chubby stick over the WTF and it works well just to make my own skin a little bit better. There's definitely a learning curve to using the right amount.

I have wanted to try the balm, but have hesitated because of the reviews. I wish she would have it in a travel mini sample size, to try like so many companies have done!

I've heard about Jones Road Beauty by Bobbi Brown.  I've liked all the products from her BB line.

Was excited to try the Jones Road Beauty, but it's order online only.  Would like to try What The Foundation, but finding a shade may be hit or miss.

Don't want to deal with returning and she doesn't have free returns/exchanges, so I'll pass.

@Sunshine Kate  I brought her face pencil and accidently ordered two instead of one.  When I asked to return one for a refund,  they refunded my money but told me to keep the pencil.   They also have a shade selector where you anser questions and compare your complexion to photos.  I got matched perfectly with the selector.   I am thinking of getting her new neutralizing pencil.

@ninjawife

Didn't realize she had a shade finder.  I may reconsider and try that.  Thanks!
