I simply adore Joan Rivers! She is so honest about having so much work and so funny. I have heard her say she has a trap door in her cellar to the Plastic Surgeon's. While most women start later and loose their unique face and become unrecognizable she started younger and her plastic surgery face just kind of became her face. She has a lot of humor about the situation. Weird and she is 80, I actually think she looks fantastic. I'm 55 and she looks younger and better. She is the only person that I think plastic surgery has suited, I know I would never do it myself.

Joan is probably the hardest working woman in show business. She started in standup, moved onto tv, created a jewelry line, clothing, and skin care. If Joan wants to have plastic surgery, that is her business. She makes no secret about it. Joan is a woman who takes care of herself, her family, and friends. She is also extremely generous. Yes, she has had a number of procedures done.....so what. She is still doing standup and needs to compete with women a fraction of her age. Her industry is all about looks, talent comes after. I say good for her!!!! Keep on going, Joan.

Dawnz.....man oh man you said everything I was about the say regarding Gazelle77. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black !!!!! Very few people on this board are as sharp tongued and put people down as often as Gazelle77. That karma she's so aware of should be of most concern to the person she sees when she looks in the mirror.

She is a survivor. She didn't sit and moan...."why me". She got up and started clearing her debts he left (and they were a lot). Even back then the tabloids were unbelievable reporting everything, all of her debts, etc.
I don't see how anyone (even if you didn't like her sense of humor, which I do) could not appreciate the way she didn't give up but kept going for the sake or herself and her daughter.
As a widow I can really appreciate how difficult something like that is.
I am old enough to remember all that too. How she worked and made it work after all that earned my respect way back then. I was a single mom with a daughter back then myself and she was a great inspiration to me. And I love her humor.

If I had the $$ & the courage & a guarantee (not possible) that a facelift or mini lift would 'refresh' my sagging face & chins, I might even go for it :-) To me, Joan is the epitome of style (classic), smarts, & the bee & owl combined-- impossible to fly but she does & the protector for her family & friends.
agggh ...looks like a plastic stiff face and the eyes stretching to her temples! Class, no- her body parts 'jokes' are vile and desperate.
