Re: Joan Rivers and her plastic surgery

I love Joan! Her plastic surgery looks great, it is not like some celebrities who have the skin on their face pulled back, cut & stitched. It seems to do not only her face but her neck too! I know she said she spends 1000.00s of dollars maintaining it. It is amazing at 80 what she can do!

Re: Joan Rivers and her plastic surgery

I like her a lot too! I have watched and followed her since her Johnny Carson days. I remember when her husband committed suicide and how devestating for her and her daughter. So many things.

She is a survivor. She didn't sit and moan...."why me". She got up and started clearing her debts he left (and they were a lot). Even back then the tabloids were unbelievable reporting everything, all of her debts, etc.

I don't see how anyone (even if you didn't like her sense of humor, which I do) could not appreciate the way she didn't give up but kept going for the sake or herself and her daughter.

As a widow I can really appreciate how difficult something like that is.

Re: Joan Rivers and her plastic surgery

She has a surgery almost every week. SHE ACTUALLY SAID that she wants her surgeon to watch her on TV so he can suggest what she needs next..... The woman has gone too far and now joins the Michael Jackson group of celebrities with too much surgery. She looks like a freak. On top of the surgery she wears a ton of thick makeup. It is awful in closeups thus why she has QVC keep the cameras far far away. When you are 80- plus years old you are just old and no plastic surgery is going to make you look young again. I feel sorry for her and now her daughter as well, who is young is getting into it and she is starting to look like her Mother{#emotions_dlg.scared}

To be very profound here, Winkbeauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd rather a see a few wrinkles and sagging on a face that moves and shows expression.

She has obviously had a lot of work & that is fine, if that is what she thinks looks good, to her. She doesn't look natural, but maybe she would not look good natural, either. Whatever she wants.

She does work hard, but she is not a nice woman & I would never buy anything she sells or watch her shows that take such pride in being mean. So fine. She does what she does & I don't like it. Wah. She obviously doesn't want my life either.

But, I don't think she deserves any respect because she is 80. I respect people for how they live their life, not because they got old. Although getting old isn't easy, either. LOL

I agree. Like her or not like her; like how she looks, don't like how she looks. But someone's age should not make them immune to positive or not so positive remarks. (I'm not talking here about cruel or rude insults)

It's no more disrespectful to comment about her than it is to comment about someone who is 20 or 40 or 60.

In fact, I'd say that it's very condescending to suggest that someone is off limits based on their age.

Absolutely not!! She makes a living being rude and obnoxious. She has no trouble making remarks about everyone, so she hasn't earned any respect from me. She has put herself in the position to be commented on due to both her public status and her hateful behavior.

Re: Joan Rivers and her plastic surgery

at this stage in the game, I really don't care. Joan is what 80 years old? I am impressed at how she keeps going. I am also use to the way she looks now.
